Acadia Fiber Faire is taking some time off this year for reflection and regrouping and refocus. We are clarifying our mission. Thoughts are welcome on this page from any of our Facebook friends.

One idea being discussed is to have the Fair during the first or second weekend of July during the Summer Festival Of the Arts program which occurs at the Mount Desert Island High School site. This may innoculate more young fiber artists and add to the "festival" nature of the SFOA program. Is the timing of this possible for any fans?

Some people feel they get their fiber needs met already. They know where to buy their stash and have their knitting, quiliting etc. groups. But what about you? What would you like to see as a fiber faire in our region? Please feel free to voice thoughts here.

Then she muttered, “I don’t really like these hats” before looking at the price tag for one of them and looki...
