Made a visit to check in on Pacino and do a little more training with his new family James and Marti. We are grateful they opened their home to Pacino and even more grateful to all of you who helped make his journey there possible and who gifted him with so many nice toys, treats, bed toppers and essentials. He is one blessed pooch. Having spent 2/3 of his short life in our facility, it makes our hearts happy to see him adjusting to life outside of a kennel.

🐾 ADOPTION COURTESY POST: MEET MALIBU! 🐾
​Malibu is a unique 45 pound 4-year-old female Pit/Husky mix- a part-time kangaroo with a heart of gold! Whether she’s tucked under the covers or riding shotgun for a pup cup, she’s ready for her next adventure.

​Stats: 4 Years Old | Female | Pit Bull & Husky Mix

​Energy Level: High Energy! Malibu needs an active owner who can provide plenty of exercise and enrichment.

​Training: She is a "selective listener" and will require continued training to help her reach her full potential.

​Health: Not spayed or vaccinated; new owner to coordinate.

​Social: Has lived with other dogs, cats, and a 7 year old child. Not tested with newborns or toddlers.

​Traits: High prey drive (squirrels/birds! Will tear apart stuffed animals especially with squeakers, tennis balls etc) and very food-motivated (loves broccoli!). Crate trained but needs a sturdy locked crate or will make the great crate escape!
​
Note: As with any new pet, we recommend slow, supervised introductions with existing cats and dogs and children to ensure a smooth transition into her new home!

​It’s me, Pacino, reporting from my new home in New Hampshire! 🐾

After the long weekend, ​I’m officially settled in with my foster-to-adopt family. While I know my peeps at Friends of Southington Animal Control, are feeling a bit bittersweet today, please don’t be sad. This isn't a final goodbye—it’s just the start of my Happy Tails adventure! You were my first family when I needed one most, and I’m carrying all your belly rubs and kindness in my heart to my new life.

​To the amazing donors who helped me get this far: thank you. You truly changed my life and made this journey possible.

As I start this next chapter, I still need a little help from my friends. My new family have already taken in many other rescue dogs - Cane Corsos, just like me. They were truly kind in opening their hearts and home to one more. Because they are managing a full house, we could still use your help raising funds for my ongoing care.

Hello Peeps, it's me Pacino.
Day 1: New Hampshire "Good Boy" Debut
​Reporting live from the 603! I’ve officially landed, and let’s just say I’ve already secured the "Professional Diplomat" title. I met the new humans and—get this—giant, long-nosed dogs they call horses. I stayed totally chill, no barking, just pure class.
​The biggest news? I was such a gentleman that I let my new potential family hang out and bond with me muzzle-free. No "bad boy" energy here—just plenty of tail wagging. I even kept my cool around the tiny, vibrating floor-lions (cats).
​This place has a nice trail through the woods, which we walked a couple of times. I haven't met my other Corso friends yet—saving that main event for later. For now, I’m just soaking up the VIP treatment and showing off my impeccable manners.
​9/10 behavior, with virtually no reactivity..
From Cujo to Cuddle Bug. Wow my life is about to get really great.

HELLO FANS, IT'S ME PACINO WITH AN UPDATE!

I have been going on little rides to get me used to the journey I will take to NH to visit my potential forever family. Today we drove to Fresh Monkee, I got a little peanutbutter treat. We also went through the car wash and to visit one of my volunteer friends, Maggie who works from home. It was a fun morning and I was a pretty good boy in the car. Sorry to anyone I barked hello to at Fresh Monkee. Just keeping my car safe from intruders and wanted you to know I was there. I will be making as many trips as needed to get me acquainted with my potential new forever family. The first being this Saturday.

What a transformation in Rocco who was adopted from us several months ago. He is living the good life and is one handsome looking Schnauzer. His transformation began after he was groomed from all his matts and look at him now.
