As we begin preparing for our October pickup and upcoming Fish & Loaves birthday box drops, we’re in need of a few items to help make everything special! 🎉

🛒 Amazon Wishlist:

I’m sharing our wishlist in hopes that some of you may be able to help. Please check the wishlist before purchasing, as I regularly update it to reflect what has already been donated so we don’t receive too much of the same items.

A few of our current higher-priority needs include:

🎉 Party hats
🎉 Party blowers
🎊 Banners
🍽️ Tablecloths
🍴 Forks
🎈Balloons
🎂 Candles

Any donation, big or small, would be greatly appreciated and will help us continue providing birthday boxes to families throughout our community!

Thank you all for continuing to support Project Celebrate Downriver and helping us spread a little more birthday joy!

📰 Project Celebrate Downriver made the newspaper!

I’m incredibly excited to finally share that Project Celebrate Downriver has been featured in The News-Herald’s Downriver Life! 🎉

A huge thank you to Susan Thwing for reaching out, taking the time to interview me over the phone, and writing such a fantastic article about Project Celebrate Downriver and why this mission means so much to me. I truly appreciate you taking the time to tell the story behind this project and share it with the Downriver community.

When I started Project Celebrate Downriver back in March, I never imagined a simple idea to help families celebrate their children’s birthdays would grow into what it has become today. I certainly never expected that a few months later, I’d be seeing my own story and Project Celebrate Downriver featured in the newspaper.

From that first birthday box to now celebrating more than 100 birthdays, building partnerships, receiving countless donations, and reaching families throughout our community, it’s incredible to look back and see just how far this project has come.

Seeing this article in the newspaper is honestly a pretty surreal feeling. It’s one of those moments that makes me stop and think about how much can happen when you see a need in your community and simply decide to do something about it.

This is a milestone I’ll always be grateful for, and I’m so thankful to everyone who has donated, shared a post, partnered with me, or simply encouraged me along the way. You’ve all played a part in getting Project Celebrate Downriver to where it is today.

You can read the full article here:

Thank you again to Susan and The News-Herald for giving Project Celebrate Downriver another platform to share its mission.

🎂 Birthday Box Packing! 📦

It’s been a little while since I’ve shared an update from behind the scenes, but the work never stops! I’m currently spending some time packing birthday boxes for several big distributions coming up.

Each box takes time and care to put together, from organizing birthday supplies and decorations to making sure each box has something special for the birthday child.

There’s a lot happening behind the scenes at Project Celebrate Downriver right now, and I’m excited for what’s ahead. I’m incredibly grateful for everyone who continues to donate, support, share, and help make all of this possible.

I can’t wait to get these boxes out into the community and help celebrate even more birthdays! More updates will be coming in the following days, so stay tuned!

📦 Project Celebrate Downriver Update! 🎉

On Tuesday, I dropped off 15 more birthday boxes to Fish & Loaves Community Food Pantry, completing my second birthday box drop-off with them! These boxes will help celebrate even more birthdays for children and families in our community. I also have additional Fish & Loaves drop-offs planned for this month, and I’m excited to continue growing this partnership.

🏡 I’m also excited to announce that Project Celebrate Downriver Porch Birthday Box Pickup will officially begin next week! This new option will give families even more flexibility by allowing them to schedule a pickup day and pick up their birthday box from my front porch.

If you’ve already requested a birthday box through the new Porch Pickup option, please be sure to check your text messages over the next couple of days! I’ll be sending out the Porch Pickup Scheduling Form so you can select a pickup date that works best for you.

📅 The August Birthday Box Pickup Day will be held toward the end of the month. I’ll be announcing the official date soon!

🎉📦 Project Celebrate Downriver Update!

On June 27, I hosted June Birthday Box Pickup Day #2 at the Southgate Veterans Memorial Library parking lot, where I distributed 14 birthday boxes to local families. With that event, Project Celebrate Downriver officially surpassed 100 birthdays celebrated! 🎂🎉

Then, last Wednesday, I made my first birthday box drop-off to Fish & Loaves Community Food Pantry, delivering 15 birthday boxes that will now be distributed to families through their pantry. I’m excited to officially kick off this partnership with Fish & Loaves and help reach even more families through their food pantry.

Thank you to everyone who continues to support Project Celebrate Downriver through donations, partnerships, and sharing my mission.
