Tonight I was able to distribute 7 more birthday boxes to families in the community at Lincoln Park High School! 🎉📦

This is already my second time in less than a week meeting families here for birthday box pickups, and I’m grateful to continue reaching families not only throughout Downriver, but also across the Metro Detroit area.

Every birthday box distributed is another child who gets to feel celebrated on their special day.

I’ll also be back here again on Saturday for another birthday box pickup!

Wondering what’s included in a Project Celebrate Downriver birthday box? 🎉📦

Shown in the first image is what is included in each birthday box. Each box is designed to help families celebrate their child’s special day and includes the essentials needed for a small birthday celebration. While every box may vary slightly depending on donations and available supplies, here’s what is included in each box:

🎂 Cake pan with lid
🍰Cake mix & frosting
🕯 Candles
🥤 A can of pop (used as a substitute for eggs and oil while baking the cake)
🎈 Balloons & birthday banner
🎉 Tablecloth, party hats & party blowers
🍽 Plates, forks & napkins
💌 Birthday cards with envelopes
🎁 A small toy or gift for the birthday child
🛍 All packed inside a reusable tote bag

The second image shows examples of possible toys and gifts, while the third image includes substitute items, extra decorations, and additional supplies that may be added to boxes. Some birthday boxes may also include themed or character items depending on available donations!

92 handmade birthday cards for Project Celebrate Downriver 🎉📦

So grateful for everyone who took the time to make these cards. Thank you to Hand Stamped by Cheryl for putting this on, and to everyone who participated. They’re going to add such a special touch to the birthday boxes!

Thanks to Debbie Ludwig Stafford for dropping off some cards yesterday, and to everyone else who contributed to this effort to ! 92 cards packed and ready to be donated to Project Celebrate Downriver!

Huge thank you to Allen Park Middle School NJHS students for donating over 160 items to Project Celebrate Downriver 🎉

A special thank you to Torrie Aicher, the NJHS advisor, for coordinating this entire effort through the school and helping make this happen.

And thank you to all the parents who supported this by sending their children in with donations. Your generosity will truly make a difference!

It was my pleasure to pick up the supplies from the school on Thursday and meet Mrs. Aicher.

These donations are going to help so many local kids celebrate their birthdays, and I’m so grateful to partner with a local school district and for everyone who contributed.
