Our Middle School students are diving into their electives! Students are divided into three groups and will rotate through each elective throughout the year, giving everyone a chance to explore something new.

Rabbi Silberberg and the Shofar Factory came to Farber today, giving our N4-2nd grade students a fascinating hands-on look at the mitzvah of shofar!

Students learned what makes a shofar kosher and explored a wide variety of shofarot—including some that are not kosher. Rabbi Silberberg also taught that the shofar serves as an alarm, reminding us to wake up, reflect, and work on becoming our best selves during this special time of year.

What a wonderful way to prepare for Rosh Hashanah!
