Our Puppies had a fantastic time learning all about shapes! They explored different shapes, discovered their names, and then got creative by designing and making their very own shape pizzas with Morah Tikvah!

This week, our students in Mrs. Howes 5th grade class welcomed special guest speaker Mrs. Friday, former Farber ESS coordinator! She shared stories, photos, and firsthand experiences from her time in Africa, where she helps run a school within an orphanage.

Her visit gave students a meaningful glimpse into daily life in Africa and helped them better understand how Kek’s experiences differ from life in America in their class reading, Home of the Brave

Honoring “Mrs. Coach” — A Legacy That Lives On

We are proud to announce that the Farber alumni game has been renamed The Marilyn Naiman Kohn z”l Memorial Alumni Basketball Game and will honor a beloved member of the Farber family whose warmth, dedication, and love for our students left a lasting mark on generations.
From cheering in the stands to supporting Farber through the PTO and Board, Marilyn helped make Farber basketball about so much more than the game. Affectionately known as “Mrs. Coach,” her spirit continues to connect generations of Akiva Pioneers and Farber Fire teammates.
Join us motzei Shabbat, November 28, as we celebrate her memory and the Farber community she loved so dearly.
May her memory always be a blessing. To learn more check out farberhds.org/alumnihomecoming

Wow! What a journey it’s been in our ECC this week! ✈️🌎🚗
As we explored Parshat L**h L**ha, our N3 and N4 friends discovered that journeys come in all shapes and sizes! 💙
🚂 N3 learned all about different modes of transportation through hands-on activities, creative exploration, and plenty of opportunities to discover the many ways we can get from one place to another!
🌍 N4 took their learning around the world, exploring different countries and cultures through imaginative play and games from around the globe!
From the journeys we read about in the parsha to the many ways we travel, explore, and discover the world around us, our ECC friends learned that every journey is an opportunity for something new!

In Ivrit class with Rabbi Nemes, our 6th grade students have been studying about various cities in Israel specifically Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, Ashdod and the Galil. They researched fun and interesting things to do in each city, and then used AI to put pictures of themselves at some of those places. Today, each group made a presentation in Hebrew about their city in dialogue form.
