After all of the students left, the entire staff had the opportunity to come together to mark the end of the year with a beautiful lunch. It was a special opportunity for staff members to be recognized and appreciated for their hard work… and it was an opportunity to say goodbye and heartfelt and emotional thank yous to staff members who will not be returning next year . Staff members were recognized for( and received pins for) 5, 10, 20 years of service at Farber. Most notably and most deservedly celebrated was Darnell - who completed his 40th year working at Farber!!! Each of the speeches expressed gratitude and appreciation for our amazing staff who show up every day to help create the best environment for our students. A huge thank you to our amazing staff!!

Today, like every Friday throughout the school year, our Elementary School gathered for Shabbat Assembly. While it is a cherished weekly tradition, it is also one that requires tremendous dedication behind the scenes.

Week after week, Rabbi Josh Strosberg organizes, leads, and orchestrates this special program, helping our students welcome Shabbat with energy, joy, and meaning. In addition to his role as a teacher, Rabbi Strosberg serves as our musical accompanist, bringing ruach and enthusiasm to each assembly and helping create a warm and uplifting atmosphere for our students.

As we reflect on another wonderful year of Shabbat Assemblies, we want to take a moment to recognize and thank Rabbi Strosberg for his commitment, leadership, and the countless hours he invests in making this beloved Farber tradition so special.

As the school year draws to a close, our classrooms are filled with both celebration and reflection. This is a season of siyumim, marking the completion of meaningful learning, and also a time to say goodbye to beloved teachers as they prepare to return to Israel.

Today, Rabbi Ellis’s students celebrated important milestones in their Torah learning. The 3rd graders completed their study of Chayei Sarah, while the 4th graders celebrated finishing Parshat Vayishlach. Rabbi Lichtman’s class marked the end of a wonderful year of learning with a farewell celebration in his honor, and Morah Tamar’s students also gathered to express their appreciation and say goodbye.

We also celebrated the final gathering of our Kindergarten and 5th Grade Reading Buddies. After a year of sharing stories, building friendships, and learning together, the buddies enjoyed popsicles and decorated picture frames to commemorate the special connections they formed throughout the year.

These are just a few of the many siyumim and farewell celebrations taking place throughout the school. While we cannot capture every special moment, each one reflects the same themes: gratitude for the learning that has taken place, appreciation for the teachers who have guided that learning, and pride in all that our students have accomplished this year.

As we celebrate these milestones, we are reminded that the relationships built, the Torah learned, and the memories created will continue to inspire our students long after the school year ends.

Our staff works hard every day, but over the past few weeks they have gone above and beyond. From concerts and celebrations to graduations, field trips, and special events, our faculty and staff have shown up time and time again—not because they have to, but because they care deeply about our students and our school community.

Whether cheering from the sidelines, attending evening programs, helping with setup and logistics, or simply being there to support our students, their dedication has been on full display. These moments are successful because of the countless hours, energy, and heart that our staff invests both during and beyond the school day.

We are incredibly grateful to have such a talented, caring, and committed team. Thank you for all that you do to make Farber such a special place!

Graduation, Leveling Up, the Senior Brunch, the Siyum, the Annual Event, and so much more... These special moments happen on two levels. First comes the planning and coordination, led by our administration. But once the plans are made, there is another tremendous job to be done—setting up, cleaning up, transforming spaces, and ensuring that every event feels beautiful, welcoming, and memorable.

A heartfelt thank you to the incredible team working behind the scenes. Ms. Naomi Gardin, our amazing Manager of Advancement, is the driving force behind so many of these events. Her creativity, vision, organization, and attention to detail help bring each celebration to life. Whether it is a major community event, a graduation, or a school-wide celebration, Naomi consistently goes above and beyond to make every occasion feel special and meaningful.

Naomi is supported by two equally amazing and dedicated partners, Ms. Rochel Bronfin, Middle and High School Administrative Assistant, and Ms. Batsheva Bronfin, Elementary School and ECC Administrative Assistant. Rochel and Batsheva work tirelessly alongside Naomi, helping turn ideas into reality and ensuring that every detail is handled with care. Their willingness to jump in wherever needed, their positive attitudes, and their commitment to our school community make them invaluable members of the team.

And, of course, we cannot forget Darnell, whose hard work and flexibility help make it all happen.

Together, these unsung heroes have spent countless hours setting up, cleaning up, decorating, organizing, moving furniture, solving last-minute challenges, and creating welcoming spaces for our students, families, faculty, and guests. Thanks to their efforts, every event is professional, beautiful, warm, and uniquely its own.

Thank you, Ms. Gardin, Ms. Bronfin, Ms. Bronfin and Darnell, for all that you do. The success of so many of Farber’s most memorable moments is a direct reflection of your dedication, teamwork, and care for our community. We are deeply grateful.

On Monday night, the Farber community came together to celebrate the graduation of the Class of 2026 in a beautiful and meaningful ceremony filled with pride, gratitude, and inspiration.

The evening began with the processional and stirring renditions of the national anthems sung by Avy Schreiber ’87. Dean of School Dr. Seth Korelitz and Board President Brittney Goldberg ’04 welcomed families, students, faculty, and friends with opening remarks reflecting on the accomplishments of the graduating class and the values that define the Farber community.

Senior Sruly Mandel delivered a thoughtful Dvar Torah, and Eliana Goldman presented the school with the Class of 2026’s gift: a beautiful new Shulchan cover for the high school Beit Midrash. Tziporah Cohen then delivered a heartfelt and inspiring Valedictory Address, reflecting on the journey, growth, and memories shared by the class.

High School Principal Mrs. Rachel Kosowsky offered words of encouragement and a meaningful charge to the graduates as they prepare for the next chapter of their lives. High School Assistant Principal Mrs. Kathy Sklar presented each graduate with a diploma, sharing personal reflections that highlighted the unique strengths and contributions of every student.

The ceremony concluded with Rabbi Morris formally inducting the graduates and offering a bracha for continued success, growth, and Torah values in all of their future endeavors.

Mazal Tov to the graduates and their families on this wonderful milestone. We are so proud of the Class of 2026 and look forward to seeing all that they will accomplish in the years ahead!
