We're so honored to have our statewide education work highlighted in The Skillman Foundation's 2025 Annual Report!

Every student deserves an education system that recognizes their individual needs and provides the support they need to succeed. Through our Special Education Benchmark Report and statewide advocacy efforts, AAoM is working to identify gaps in services, elevate the experiences of students and families, and bring educators, policymakers, and community partners together to advance meaningful, lasting improvements in special education.

Autism Alliance of Michigan’s RISE coalition is working to make Michigan’s special education funding fair and focused on student needs.

Across our state, 226,800 students receive special education services including 33,005 ASD students. Their needs are real, and our funding system must reflect them. Every child deserves a school system that sees them, supports them, and shows up for their needs.
