HBAM is collecting Michigan-specific data on the regulatory cost of housing to strengthen our industry's advocacy efforts. Please take a few minutes to complete this important survey by July 24.

Thank you for helping us build a stronger voice for housing in Michigan.

A recent study done by NAHB found that government regulation accounts for 26.4% (or $131,734) of the average final new home price. To better understand how regulatory costs affect new housing in our state, we are collecting Michigan-specific data from builders and developers. This data will help us provide legislators and local officials with accurate data for our state as we advocate for policies that promote housing attainability.
