Pediatric cancer is a journey no family should have to navigate alone. There is so much hope in the progress that has been made, with more children growing up to become long-term survivors. But whether a family is in treatment, adjusting to life after treatment, or somewhere in between, having people who truly understand can make all the difference. That’s why community matters so much. Programs like MATIO | Kids Kicking Cancer give kids and families another place to connect, build friendships, find support and be surrounded by people who understand what they’re going through. This Pediatric Cancer Awareness Month, we’re celebrating the strength of these incredible kids, honoring everything they carry with them, and reminding families that support is there through every part of the journey. Watching our kids learn to recognize what they’re feeling, find their calm and discover the power they already have within themselves is what this is all about. 💜 These are skills that go far beyond the dojo and can stay with them wherever life takes them. September is Pediatric Cancer Awareness Month, a time to recognize the incredible strength of kids like Gabriel. 💜 Gabriel's journey has included more than any child should have to face, but today, he gets to be a kid, a martial artist and a survivor. And for his family, finding a community where they could feel understood, supported and surrounded by people who truly get it has meant so much.
