After being rescheduled due to weather in April (Lions International Environmental Service project month), on May 7th we joined SSP Parks and Recreation and the community for the River Beautification project. Our club gathered along the Mississippi River to help beautify one of South St. Paul’s natural spaces. What could be better than spending time outdoors, helping clean up the river, and enjoying a spring evening in our community!

The SW Lioness Lions had a fun day sharing/throwing chalk dust & seeing all the smiling faces! What a great day! Thank you to South St. Paul Park and Recreation for organizing the SSP Color Run this past weekend down at Kaposia Landing!

There were over 150 participants, along with volunteers, families, and community members who came out to help make the event so special. Everyone’s smiles and support helped make the day one to remember!

April is Lions International Environmental Service Project month. Our club volunteered to dead head and clean up 4 small garden beds (at intersections of Southview Blvd and 5th Ave and 12th Ave) for the city of South St. Paul. Next project is the SSP River Beautification rescheduled for May 7th.
