A few years ago, we bought a house to work on. In spite of all our best volunteers, we were unable to finish it. We were just in over our heads. So we sold it. The people that bought it finished it and is now almost on the market. It. Looks. AMAZING! It’s funny that I (Rod) feel a pretty good hunk of pride knowing that they ran by with ideas we had and started towards.

Coming soon This 1150 square foot single family home has 2 bedrooms and 2.0 bathrooms. It is located at 3021 25th St E Minneapolis, Minnesota.

So a few years ago, we thought it would be a good idea to buy a house in the Twin Cities and fix it up and sell it. We had 4 goals:
1- Be able to offer a house at a low income price point.
2- Train volunteers on building skills- putting up drywall, etc.
3- Partner with an agency to give ex-felons work experience
4- Make a little money for operating expenses.

After about three years, we are throwing in the towel. The house turned in to a lot more work than we were prepared for and had challenges we were unable to meet.

So this Tuesday, June 14th, at 5:00pm, we are calling any volunteers that want to come help us clean our debris, pack up our tools, return our unused materials to Menards, mow the lawn etc. We already have a few people committed, so it should only be a couple hours. Call Rod if you can come help.

One of our best and favorite volunteers has gone on the last Great Adventure.

We called her, "The Colonel." And we are going to miss her greatly......

Carolyn died on May 29th. She will be interred at Arlington National Cemetery.

Because of the virus, we are postponing our Port St. Joe trip until the Fall. Instead of this trip, serve by staying connected to your friends and family and neighbors and society as a whole. On the road this fall!
