Unfortunately, history has left our scenery altered and some of land’s great resources struggling to push through a bright canopy.

From the roots up we are grown from the philosophy of keeping our landscape free of unnatural disturbances and releasing the soils to power the native plants they were evolved to nourish. Through self-conscious footsteps and a nostalgic need for manual labor in the elements, it is our goal that with a LIGHT ON THE LAND philosophy we can work to Preserve our Native Resources.

Wildland fires unfortunately started earlier than usual this year. We're proud to have teams actively supporting suppression efforts out West and back home in Northern Minnesota.

Today, we honor the 19 members of the Granite Mountain Hotshots who made the ultimate sacrifice on the Yarnell Hill Fire on June 30, 2013.

Their courage, dedication, and commitment to protecting others will never be forgotten. Their legacy continues to shape the wildland fire community and serves as a profound reminder of the risks firefighters face every time they answer the call.

Please take a moment today to:
- Remember these 19 heroes.
- Keep their families in your thoughts.
- Honor those who continue to serve on the fireline today.

When the days aren’t quite long enough but conditions are just right and within the safety window, there’s something special about a prescribed burn wrapping up after sunset. 🔥

These targeted burns are important ecological tools used for clearing out invasive brush and kickstarting healthy new growth. 🌱

A huge thank you to our incredible crew and partners for making the Spring 2026 burn season both safe and successful! See you back out there this fall. 🍂
