Does anyone else find it interesting that the city researched case law surrounding ways to invalidate a recall petition?

Ok so back to our FOIA review of documents…

Did you know Pam only sent one single email regarding her legal troubles throughout this entire process to her colleagues, and it was to send them the public statement she released in April?

Appeal Hearing Update:

Our Recall Bakken Committee learned today that Pam Bakken’s appeal hearing this Thursday, 7/31 is not a public hearing.

When we first spoke to DHS about this they indicated that hearings such as this are generally open to the public and there have been instances in the past where in which an appeal hearing was closed to the public. It is our understanding that the results of this hearing will be public and we will share this information once available.

So we did a thing today….

Our Recall Bakken Committee previously submitted a Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA) request with the city of South St Paul regarding our recall effort and information regarding Pam Bakken notifying city officials of her involvement with law enforcement and (at the time) suspension of her license (as well as other information)

… we’ll be sharing the findings of our review of these documents over the next few days.

Example:
Pam Bakken lacks integrity after failing to resign when she was found responsible for serious maltreatment of a 3 year old child in her care.

How do you define integrity?

Pam you need to resign now! Serious maltreatment of a minor is UNACCEPTABLE for anyone but especially an elected official!

Countdown to Pam Bakken’s License appeal hearing on Thursday, 7/31 at 10a.

The State of MN DHS revocation letter dated 6/27/2025 informed Bakken that she can appeal the revocation, but her disqualification over “serious maltreatment” of a minor is FINAL!
