Start your New Year, by helping athletes across Maine! On New Year's Day hundreds of dippers will run into the Atlantic at Old Orchard Beach to help more than 5,000 Special Olympics Maine athletes train, compete, and shine all year long.

Thank you to the Maine Law Enforcement Torch Run (for Special Olympics) for hosting the raffle to raise funds for Special Olympics Maine! This raffle raised $20,000 to support our athletes! Thank you to those who sold tickets for the raffle and congratulations to the winners!

Congratulations to the LETR side-by-side raffle winner! Winning ticket was #1245 sold at the Windsor Fair! The Winner had bought a ticket at the fair every year, and it finally paid off!

BIG NEWS!!! Maine has 4 new nationally recognized banner schools in our Unified Champion Schools program. Give it up for Brunswick High School, Belfast Area High School, Houlton High School, and Mt. We’re excited to share that Special Olympics and the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) have partnered to make our flagship training series, 𝗜𝗻𝗰𝗹𝘂𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗙𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹𝘀, available through the APTA Learning Center with continuing education credit opportunities for learners! 💡

This self-paced course introduces foundational concepts for providing inclusive, high-quality care for people with intellectual disabilities. Through practical strategies and real-world applications, learners can build confidence in communication, health promotion, and person-centered care.
