Numbers and rankings only tell half the story. To see the real magic of this season, you have to look at the documentation.

Our girls poured their hearts into this portfolio to ensure every design choice was backed by data and detail. It is a masterclass in rookie engineering! We are incredibly proud of their dedication to the 'paperwork' side of STEM.

A Proud Rookie Season Debut! 🤖

Yesterday was a whirlwind for our rookie FTC team! While the rankings didn't show it, we walked away with something better than an award: proof of concept.

Going into our first year, we set some "hopes and dreams" goals. We wanted to sort game elements, shoot from the furthest spot on the field, and master AprilTag autonomous shooting. Yesterday, the girls hit those goals with consistency and precision - all major feats for a rookie team!

They proved they can build a robot that does exactly what it’s designed to do and document it down to the nuts and bolts. In the professional world, that level of documentation is what separates great thinkers from master engineers. We are so proud of the grit and technical skill these girls showed.

Don’t worry—we’re just getting started! We have big plans for off-season outreach, education, and fundraising so we can come back even stronger and brighter next year.

SUCCESS! 🐞✨

Our Ladybugs took the floor for the very first time and crushed it! They finished in 11th place and are coming home with their very first trophy: The Think Award! 🏆

This award recognizes the team that best managed their design process and communicated their creative journey. Here is the amazing feedback the judges shared about our girls:

"Documenting and sharing a teams engineering journey is a large slice of the Think Award.

This team was anything but a lazy Susan in their rookie year in terms of iterating, designing to always improve, and their analysis.

Like ladybugs in nature, this team solidly proves that small, well-designed and documents & iterations create a lasting impact when guided by thoughtful engineering and purpose."

So proud of their hard work, teamwork, and big brains! Onward to the next one! 🚀

She moves! (in circles... we're working on it 😁)

Our Ladybugs have been super busy in the shop and the results are finally paying off. Here are some major wins for the month:

✅ All Mechanisms are assembled and functional
✅ Drive base is officially MOBILE 🎉
✅ Our portfolio is nearly ready for print
✅ Shirts are on the way
✅ Wiring starts next!

Huge kudos to the team for all the time and work that's been given this season. It’s a race to the finish line for our January 17th competition, and these girls are rising to the challenge every single day.

Stay tuned—the best is yet to come! 🐞✨

Help Us Power Up Our Robot! 🛠️
Our very first robotics competition on January 17th is zooming up fast, and we need your help to get our inaugural robot across the finish line!

Our incredible team of girls has been working tirelessly—prototyping designs, mastering CAD, and turning brilliant ideas into a detailed plan for our 2026 FTC debut! We've nailed the concept and modeled the blueprint... now it's time for the fun (and expensive!) part: the build!

Here’s the Challenge:

As a rookie team, we're starting from scratch. We don't have the "kicking around" stockpile of motors, materials, and specialized parts that established teams rely on. To transform our designs into a competitive, moving machine, we need $2000 for manufacturing and essential components.

That’s Where You Come In! 👇

We are so grateful for the generous donations that got our season started, but with only about 6 weeks left until our deadline, we need a final funding push.

Every dollar goes directly toward materials that will allow our girls to see their months of hard work, engineering skills, and creativity come to life in motion!

Please consider donating and helping us achieve our rookie-season dream!

Hello, World! 👋 Maine’s All-Girls Robotics Team is Here! 🤖

We’re thrilled to officially launch the page for Maine’s first and only all-girls FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) team!

Every year, our girls (grades 6–12) have to design, build, and program a robot that can conquer a brand new game. Then, we take that robot to competitions all around New England.

We're mentored by industry pros who help our team get hands-on with everything: from designing parts on a computer to using power tools to assemble a competition-ready machine .

We want to build a supportive community where girls can explore, compete, and gain real-world experience for their future careers. We’re serious about STEM, but we’re also serious about teamwork, exploration, and having fun (and yes, there will be chocolate 😋).
