2022 Casco Bay Summertime Parade of Lights

Fellow Boaters, Participants, and Supporters,
On behalf of the south Portland Lion's Club and Southern Maine "Toys for Tots" I would like to extend my sincerest appreciation and express my gratitude for your support of the 2022 Casco Bay Summertime Parade of Lights.
This event was held on August 6, 2022. Sixteen (16) boats participated by dressing their vessels up in bright lights and assorted decorations. Spectators lined the shoreline in areas such as Bug Light Park, Maine State Pier, and various marinas along the Parade route.
In this event’s 9-year history, it has had over 140 boats participate, collected over 1000 toys and raised over $13,100 for the "Toys for Tots" Organization.
This is a fundraiser the without your help would not have been possible. The 2022 Casco Bay Summertime Parade of Lights collected over 225 toys and raised $3,100 that will be utilized to purchase toys for children at Christmas time.
All proceeds raised by this event are distributed by Toys for Tots Coordinator Carol Lombard and her Team in the month of December. Toys are distributed to family's here in the state of Maine that are the most deserving of this opportunity.
In conclusion, on behalf of the South Portland Lion's Club and "Toys for Tots", I would like to express our heartfelt appreciation for the generosity of your support.

All I can say is "WOW"!!! The official toy count is in... There were over 225 toy donations for this years Parade of Lights. The quality of the donated toys this year was first class. There was a great effort made to ensure the teenagers were not forgotten about this year. Over and above the toys, one generous donater provided numerous cosmetic and toiletry bags filled with essentials!!!! Thank you very much!!!! The outpouring of generosity in a time when everyone has their own struggles definitely gives one faith in their friends and community..... more stats to come...

Congrats to the 2022 Parade of Lights 50/50 WINNER, "Herbie"!!! This was our biggest jackpot ever at $1,750.00. With Herbie's pay it forward donation back to "Toys for Tots" donation this year's event was our biggest yet.... More stats to follow.... Congratulations and thank you Herb!!!

Arrive by 8:10 PM
Parade begins at 8:30 PM
Tide: Low @ 11:52 AM
Tide: High @ 6:11 PM

The announcement for any postponement will be given via VHF Radio Channel 72 at 5:30 PM the day of the Parade and subsequently every half hour until 8:10 PM.

At 8:15 PM a parade briefing will be conducted on VHF Channel 72 by “Committed II”.
Monitor VHF Channel 72 during the parade and follow any instructions.
In case of Emergency during the parade announce it on VHF Channel 16.
