Montrose Area Kiwanis Club and the Montrose Lions Clubs. Join us for the Montrose Hometown July Fourth Independence Celebration! Experience the spirit of Small Town USA.

The Montrose 4th of July 5K & 10K on July 4, 2026, starting at 8 AM for the 5K and 8:10 AM for the 10K. Whether it rains or shines, we’ll be there! For full details, including registration and costs, and any questions, please check the link below.
Arts and Crafts on The Green from 8 AM to 3 PM. Follow the link below to register as a vendor and check the link for information on the vendor's booth location.

Start your 4th of July celebration with a delicious pancake breakfast at Saint Paul's Episcopal Church, 8-10:30 AM. This annual event is a great way to kick off the holiday with friends and family. It’s a wonderful time to gather in our community, share good food, and feel the spirit of Independence Day. Everyone is welcome, so join us for a fun morning filled with laughter and yummy treats!

The Kiwanis and Lions Clubs are hosting their Annual Chicken BBQ at the United Fire Station, starting at 10 AM until an unspecified time. $15.00. Both to-go options and seating will be available within the fire station. Additionally, the United Fire Company will have a food tent located at the corner of Monument Square. Please look for the food trucks situated around The Green Area.

Theme for the Parada America 250 – Moments in History. Events that have shaped our nation. Step off at 11:00 a.m. beginning on Grow Avenue and will feature marching units, bands, classic and antique vehicles, floats, and other entertaining parade participants.

Grand Marshals & Special Guests Susquehanna County Heritage Trails Committee. Honorary Grand Marshals will include student-athletes with accomplishments this past year, including state and national championship teams and individuals from local schools. And the Montrose Marching Unit Alumni Band, fresh off the bus from performing in Philadelphia.

I discovered these bags at the 9/11 Memorial today. Food that was distributed on Friday at the food pantry. Indeed, I am a volunteer at the Montrose Mobile Pantry, and you are familiar enough with me to associate me with the 9/11 Memorial, which is why you felt at ease leaving the food you did not want from the distribution at the 9/11 Memorial.
Like many other public spaces, I also have cameras. Nevertheless, I opted not to publicly shame you this time. If you do not wish to keep the food, you may give it to friends, neighbors, farm animals, or simply dispose of it on your own property.
Should this occur again, I will suggest that you and your friends be excluded from future food distributions at Montrose Mobile Pantry. It is evident that you do not have a significant need for additional food, and we can assist someone else who is more deserving.

To register or cancel your participation, please contact the Montrose Mobile Food Pantry at 570.533.3980 and leave a message; your call will be acknowledged or confirmed within a few days before the distribution.
Food reservations for this date will not be accepted after Friday, April 3, 2026.

The Weinberg food bank necessitates a count one week in advance, and this count is definitive, especially considering the heightened demand for food in recent months.
