HAPPY 11th BIRTHDAY to the DREAM PLAYGROUND.
On October 10, 2015 Amity Grace Forsythe cut the yellow satin ribbon and the Dream Playground was flooded by hundreds of people. On that memorable, blessed day while the song Let it go was playing a colorful rainbow of helium balloons was released. It was a historic, joyous celebration because together WE leveled the playing field for people of ALL abilities and WE let go of inaccessibility FOREVER. So today, October 10, 2026, our beautiful, community funded and built 15, 000 sq. foot accessible playground turns 11 years so I guess we can all we can say now is... HAPPY 11th BIRTHDAY DREAM PLAYGROUND !

This glorious community build event took place 11 years ago. We labored on Labor Day....WE all worked together with Play by Design, LLC The KAC, City of Kenosha, Wisconsin Government & Parks Department & The County of Kenosha for a common goal to level the playing feild for people of ALL abilities. People of different ethinic backgrounds, social econmic levels, different religions, different political views, people of different races and people with different abilities. People worked side by side despite their differences and just look what THEY built. The Kenosha Dream Playground Project continues bringing joy and laughter to people of ALL abilities. Please feel free to share any memories, comments or thoughts on this blessed community funded and built one of a kind, accessible and very loved Dream Playground that all of you helped become a reality.
