We can’t wait to see you for the annual Kids Fish 'N ' Fun event at Anderson Park Pond!
Come join us for a fun-filled day of fishing, contests, and community support.

🗓️When: Tomorrow, June 20, 2026, from 9 AM to 2 PM

📍Where: Anderson Park Pond (8730 22nd Ave, Kenosha, WI 53143)

🪧Details: Check-in begins at 9 AM, followed by a safety briefing and rod distribution at 10 AM.
(Pre-registration is strongly advised (link in comments)- we will also have onsite registration)

We’ll have vendors on-site, with a portion of sales supporting our future youth events.

Hey Kenosha & Southeastern WI Neighbors! This Saturday is the day of our Annual Kids Fish ‘ N ‘ Fun Event! 🎣

Looking for the perfect family activity for THIS Father’s Day weekend? The KSFCA (Kenosha Sportfishing and Conservation Association) is holding its annual free Kids Fish 'N Fun event at Anderson Park Pond (right by Tremper High School) this Saturday, June 20th!

Every year we hold this annual event, for children 12 down to 5 receive a free fishing pole, some instruction on how to fish, compete in a contest, and provide a beautiful atmosphere for fishing and family. Our community is building and we would love to have our organization grow along with it!

This year, we are proud to officially partner with the City of Kenosha, Wisconsin Government
Local vendors are joining the fun—including Cream City Sip, who will be debuting a brand-new drink called the "Little Nemo." A portion of all vendor sales will go directly toward supporting this and future youth events.

Pre-registration is strongly encouraged to secure a spot.

📅 Event Details & Schedule
When: Saturday, June 20, 2026 (9am to 2 pm)
Where: Anderson Park Pond | 📍 8730 22nd Ave, Kenosha, WI 53143
Who: Open to the public and completely free!

🎣 Participants: Kids 13 and under receive a free fishing pole to keep, a goody bag, and entry into the Big Fish trophy contest!

🧑‍🧑‍🧒 Families: Parents, grandparents, and caregivers are all welcome to join. (Note: Only registered participants 12 down to age 5 may compete in the biggest fish contest & receive a fishing pole).
Timeline:
9:00 AM: Check-in begins
10:00 AM: Safety briefing & rod distribution
1:00 PM: Tournament ends
1:30 PM: Trophies and prizes awarded

This event is an annual event that is free, we rely entirely on the generosity of our community.
KSFCA is run completely by volunteers, and this event is funded entirely by private donations.

Our organization has events for families & kids (Salmon rearing pond, annual fish’n’fun, & Pike River Clean up) and any donations are greatly welcomed & appreciated.

We have a busy, exciting week ahead, and there are a few huge updates you need to know about.

🙌 2. A Massive Thank You to Monday's Crew!
A huge shoutout to the amazing group of club members who showed up this past Monday night. Together, you knocked it out of the park—stringing, rigging, and prepping 115 fishing poles for the upcoming youth event. Because of your hard work, these kids are going to have perfectly tuned gear ready to catch some fish. We couldn't host this event without our incredible volunteers!

🤝 3. Welcome Our Newest Board Member!
Please join us in giving a warm welcome to Mike Moriarity , the newest member of the KSFCA Board of Directors! Mike brings a ton of passion for our local fisheries and conservation efforts, and we are thrilled to have his energy and ideas on the leadership team.

As we gear up for Kids Fish N Fun next week let's not forget about the importance of water safety around the Pike River. See the continuing notice around the mouth of the Pike River.

🚫 𝗪𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗦𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘆 𝗧𝗶𝗽 #7: 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘆 𝗢𝘂𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝗥𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿
Since 1985, 𝗲𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗹𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀 near the mouth of the Pike River in Kenosha, despite posted warnings.
The water here may look calm, but hidden currents make it extremely dangerous.
𝗛𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻𝘀. 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴. 𝗖𝗵𝗼𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝗮 𝘀𝗮𝗳𝗲𝗿 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝘄𝗶𝗺.

🎣 Father’s Day Weekend: Free Poles, a Kids' Tournament, and a Trophy! 🎣

Hey Kenosha families! Looking for the perfect way to celebrate Father’s Day weekend? The excitement is building for our annual Fish N Fun event, and it is the ultimate family outing! Not only are we helping kids get started with the right gear, but they'll also get to test their skills in a friendly competition.

Thanks to the Kenosha Sportfishing and Conservation Association, every child aged 13 and under will receive a FREE fishing pole to keep (while supplies last) and get the chance to compete in our youth fishing tournament! 🏆

Whether they catch the most fish or the biggest fish, they'll be competing to take home a tournament trophy! It's a fantastic, memory-making way for dads, grandpas, and families to spend Saturday together.
