HealthTree Foundation

HealthTree Foundation HealthTree is a global nonprofit organization uniting patients and researchers through cutting-edge technology to work together on curing diseases.

The HealthTree Foundation is a patient-driven initiative to help accelerate cures for rare cancers and orphan diseases in a variety of ways. We offer patient education and support through our online internet radio shows and websites and are one of the first to use crowdfunding as a tool to raise funds for specific research projects. We believe that patients' involvement is critical in order to make faster progress for rare and terminal diseases.

Did you know that up to 95% of cancer survivors face sleep disruptions, and more than half experience ongoing fatigue or anxiety? πŸ›‹οΈπŸ’”
Managing life after a diagnosis comes with daily challenges, and finding ways to relieve this distress without adding more pills to your routine is crucial for your long-term quality of life.
A recent study presented at the ASCO Annual Meeting highlighted the YOCAS (Yoga for Cancer Survivors) program. For 4 weeks, participants practiced gentle Hatha and restorative yoga, breathing exercises, and mindfulness.
The breakthrough? By significantly improving overall mood, anxiety, and fatigue, the structured yoga practice naturally unlocked much better, deeper sleep. It offers a powerful, non-pharmaceutical solution to tackle four of the toughest side effects of survivorship all at once.

The FDA has approved pivekimab sunirine-pvzy (DECNUPAZ, AbbVie) for adults with blastic plasmacytoid dendritic cell neoplasm (BPDCN), a rare and aggressive blood cancer with limited treatment options.
The approval was based on results from the CADENZA clinical trial, which showed complete remission or clinical complete remission in patients with both newly diagnosed and relapsed/refractory BPDCN.
This approval marks an important step forward in expanding treatment options for people living with rare blood cancers.
