"When my sister was diagnosed with multiple myeloma, I wanted to do anything I could to help. As her identical twin, I was blessed to be her stem cell donor, and that experience forever changed how I see the strength of family, hope, and the power of community.

Aplastic anemia and myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS) can look similar, but they’re not the same.

Both can affect the bone marrow and cause similar symptoms, but the underlying problems are different. Understanding those differences can help you better understand your diagnosis and care.
