Saved by Horses is an equine nonprofit, known for lessons with undeniable therapeutic benefits. We work with marginalized youth, and domestic violence victims, connecting them with horses, mentoring, and community. We are preparing to apply for 501c3 status, and ask for the help of our community as volunteers, donors, and supporters come together for the unified purpose of building a better tomorrow for our youth, and the horse industry. Horses challenge us in ways you would never expect, and for that, I am grateful. Watching youth blossom, and develop confidence, drive, accountability, bravery and a plethora of strong qualities that aid them in day to day life. Sometimes it’s after standing on top of a horse, when you sit back down, and realize you’re really not that far from the ground, and horses aren’t quite as scary as you think. Perspective goes a long way. And maybe it happens right away; maybe it’s months down the line, but you start to realize that so much of what we do with horses is symbolic for the obstacles we face in our lives. Those challenges aren’t nearly as scary as we think. Goodness, horses are amazing.
