🚑 National EMS Week Member Spotlight 🚑
Rich Maciorowski, EMT

In honor of National EMS Week, AFSCME Local 3044-1 is proud to recognize EMT Rich Maciorowski.

Rich has served as an EMT for 2 years, making a direct and positive impact on people’s lives during emergencies. For Rich, some of the most rewarding parts of EMS are the variety of calls, the dynamic nature of the work, and the teamwork that goes into every response.

Outside of work, Rich enjoys spending time with friends and family, outdoor activities, snowboarding, fishing, and traveling. He is also a Colonia firefighter, is pursuing his degree in Fire Science at Kean University, and hopes to obtain his paramedic license in the near future.

🚨 National EMS Week Member Spotlight 🚑
Nate Jarrett, EMT

In honor of National EMS Week, AFSCME Local 3044-1 is proud to recognize EMT Nate Jarrett.

Nate has been with the Woodbridge Police Department EMS since September 2025 and previously served with other EMS agencies, bringing experience, dedication, and a strong public safety background to the community.

For Nate, one of the most rewarding parts of being an EMT is that every shift is different. EMS constantly challenges him to think critically, adapt quickly, and stay calm under pressure, making the job both meaningful and rewarding.

Outside of work, Nate continues to serve others as a volunteer firefighter with Iselin District 9. He is also a U.S. Army Combat Medic, further reflecting his commitment to service, emergency care, and helping others in their time of need.

Thank you, Nate, for your dedication to EMS, the fire service, military service, and  Woodbridge Twp.

🚨🚑 National EMS Week Member Spotlight 🚑🚨
Jonathan Ryan, EMT

In honor of National EMS Week, AFSCME Local 3044-1 is proud to recognize EMT Jonathan Ryan.

Jonathan has dedicated nearly 24 years to EMS, beginning his journey as a cadet in October 2002 when he took his First Responder/EMR class. He became an EMT as soon as he turned 16, completing and passing his EMT certification in April 2005.

For Jonathan, one of the most meaningful parts of being an EMT is having a skill set that can be used to help others in their time of need.

Public safety service runs deep in Jonathan’s family. He is a 3rd generation EMS member and a 4th generation firefighter. His connection to emergency services started early, with his parents bringing him to his first CPR class when he was just 6 weeks old.

Outside of work, Jonathan volunteers in both Fire and EMS and enjoys riding his motorcycle.

Thank you, Jonathan, for your decades of dedication, service, and commitment to EMS and the Woodbridge community.

Happy National EMS Week! 🚑💚
