INTED Africa with support from USAID West Africa organised an awareness creation townhall on November 29, 2022, to highlight the issues of underrepresentation of female teachers and underperformance of female students in Ghana's second cycle educational institutions. Themed "Empowering Females in Second Cycle Educational Institutions in Ghana," the occasion was used to highlight the biases female students and female teachers face and how these biases which affect them can be addressed.

The Awareness Creation Townhall forms part of a broader USAID West Africa funded Project "TRANSFORMING TO IMPACT EDUCATORS AND MARGINALIZED YOUTH ACROSS WEST AFRICA" and implemented by Institute of Teacher Education and Development (INTED).

Among the speakers during the Awareness Creation Townhall were Divine Ayidzoe -Chief Director of Ministry of Education, Prof Jophus Anamuah-Mensah -Board Chair of T-TEL, Israel T**i Ofei -INTED Board Chair, Kwabena Amporful -INTED Executive Director, Dr Nefertiti Puplampu -INTED Board Member, and Rasheena Reid of USAID.
