Hey Guardian family,
We’ve got a lot of dogs moving through Purpose 4 Paws right now, and honestly—it’s time you meet them properly. Not just as “dogs in training,” but as the personalities they really are.
First up: Macha, from Streetdog Foundation.
Macha is currently boarding with us while he works through his training program and waits for his forever home or foster home. He’s been nothing short of entertaining in the best way.
Here’s the honest version of him—no sugar coating.
Macha is not your “confident protector” type. He’s not the dog you’re calling in to defend the perimeter. If anything ever went down, his strategy would probably be: roll over, offer face licks, and hope everyone chills out before the humans arrive.
But don’t mistake that for weakness.
Because Macha also has strong opinions about fairness in the world—especially when he thinks someone else is having more fun without him. In those moments, he makes it very clear that he would like to be included in absolutely everything.
He’s not perfect. Not polished. Not built for service work or K9 deployment.
But he is a good dog.
Right now, Macha has completed the first two levels of his training and is stepping into level three next week. He’s learning structure, confidence, and what it means to just exist without chaos around him.
And more than anything, he’s just learning how to be a dog that someone can call family.
Dogs like Macha stay with us long-term while they go through training and rehabilitation, and each one is supported through our Purpose 4 Paws program while they wait for their next chapter.
For those who want to be part of that journey in a more personal way, we do have a sponsorship option for dogs like Macha—where you can follow their progress, see updates, and actually be part of their story as they move through training and eventually into a home.
Sponsorship includes:
* access to Macha’s shared photo updates
*some Macha swag
* progress reports from training
* inclusion on his seasonal updates and holiday card list
If you want to follow Macha’s journey a little closer, you can reach out to us at 719-298-3131 or message the foundation.
We are a 501(c)(3), and every dog here is working toward the same goal: a stable, loving life on the other side of our program.
Stay tuned—because Macha is just the beginning. We’ve got a whole lineup of dogs coming through Purpose 4 Paws, and each one has their own story worth telling.
