November Young Eagle Flight
On 9th November, another Young Eagle flight took place. Thanks to the generosity of Peter Reeden, 17-year-old Hannah Steinbrink was able to fly in his beautiful, newly refurbished Citabria. She had only flown in big airliners before and was excited to climb in and go flying.
It was a beautiful, cool day with bright sunshine and cloudless skies. Hannah's parents both came to cheer her on and share the experience with her. Hannah was allowed to fly the plane, and when she returned from the flight, was beaming from ear to ear. Hannah wants to become a professional pilot and is already looking for a school where she can realise her dream of flying after graduating from high school. We would like to thank Peter Reeden for sharing his generosity, enthusiasm and aeroplane.

SunNFun Aerospace Expo is April 14-19 in Lakeland,Fl, east of Tampa. The show rivals Oshkosh AirVenture but is more personal.

I volunteered with the Workshops last year and met many great people. They taught me how to gas weld and I taught others during the show. The Workshops could use more volunteers.

If you work for 24 hours, camping will be free the next year.

Powder coating was demonstrated at the November meeting.

A high voltage power source is attached to the parts to be coated. The powder is applied by a pneumatic gun. An oven cures the parts.

The equipment is now added to the EAA shop for those who want to experiment.
