She shared that Melody’s kindness, compassion, and unwavering support played a crucial role in her journey toward healing and finding her way back on her feet. Her words are a powerful reminder that caring can make a lasting difference. 💜

💜 Domestic Violence Awareness Month Officially Kicked Off at the Justice Center 💜

Today, we came together at the Justice Center in Judge Douglas’ courtroom to officially recognize Domestic Violence Awareness Month (DVAM) and stand united in support of survivors, victims, and families affected by domestic violence.

We are honored to share that a proclamation recognizing Domestic Violence Awareness Month was signed by Mayor Skip Taylor, marking an important commitment to raising awareness, promoting safety, and strengthening our community’s response to domestic violence.

We heard from several powerful voices during this special occasion:

Domestic violence affects our entire community, and ending it requires all of us to speak up, educate ourselves, support survivors, and work together.

This October, let’s continue to shine a light on domestic violence, break the silence, and create a safer community where everyone has the opportunity to live free from abuse. 💜
