Earlier this August, our Director of Social Media, Danny, attended Kennedy Catholic’s White House Wednesdays for Young Alumni!

One of the most meaningful parts of the event was having the opportunity to share the story and mission of the Live Like Livy Foundation. Danny connected with fellow alumni, talked about how the foundation continues Livy’s legacy through literacy, kindness, community, and giving back, and helped bring more awareness to the work we do.

Thanks to the generosity of those at the event, we also collected 20 books for Books For Africa!

We had a great time networking, talking about careers and job opportunities, playing co****le and Spikeball, and spending time together. Father Valancourt also gave us a look at the exciting new athletic facility currently under construction for Kennedy students!

Thank you to everyone who took the time to learn about our mission and help us continue to Live Like Livy!

Today, we remember Dolly Parton — an extraordinary artist, storyteller, and lifelong champion of literacy whose impact reached far beyond music.

Through Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, she helped place books into the hands of millions of children and inspired generations to discover the joy, comfort, and possibility found in reading.

Her belief that every child deserves the chance to fall in love with a book is one that feels especially close to our hearts at the Live Like Livy Foundation. Like Dolly, we believe stories can bring people together, spark imagination, and leave a lasting light in a child’s life.

We are deeply saddened by her passing, but incredibly grateful for the beautiful legacy she leaves behind — one filled with kindness, generosity, storytelling, and a love of reading that will continue for generations.

Thank you, Dolly, for helping the world turn so many pages and may we continue helping that legacy live on, one reader at a time.💜🐝📚

Such a special full-circle moment in Newport. Kenzie and Kevin, two of Olivia’s good friends, were back in the place where we celebrated her cousins Char and Thomas’s wedding when they came across & LIVY. Even more special, Kenzie is wearing her Bee the Light bracelets, created by & LIVY. Little reminders of Olivia seem to find us everywhere. 🤍

Another Live Like Livy BookHive is spreading the joy of reading!

We’re so excited to welcome our newest BookHive in Pawling, NY, located in Dutchess County! The BookHive is now officially featured on the Little Free Library map.

Our wonderful BookHive keepers shared how much they love watching the library come to life. From filling the shelves with books found at library sales patiently waiting for the bee balm to bloom to capture visiting bees.

Even more special, the shelves are constantly being refreshed by neighbors and kind strangers who leave books for others to enjoy.

As these book keepers beautifully said, “Book people are good people.” 💛

How are you doing with your summer reading?📖

The kids on Chambers Drive in Somers, New York, where Olivia grew up, are off to a great start this summer! Chloe, Jack, Kate, and William have been enjoying Livy’s Bookhive and keeping the joy of reading alive. Olivia even babysat for them years ago, making these moments even more special.

We hope these books inspire children to keep reading, learning, and exploring new stories all summer long. Whether it’s a chapter before bed or an afternoon spent outside with a favorite book, every page helps spark imagination and a love of reading.
