Activities include monthly meetings with guest speakers, workshops, charity quilting, an annual quilt show, trips and other group quilting activities. Our diverse membership of traditional, contemporary and art quilters, who span the ability range from novice to professional, come from a wide geographical area that includes NYC, Westchester, Putnam and Rockland Counties in NY, and Fairfield and Li
tchfield Counties in CT. We are a not-for-profit corporation whose purpose is to promote interest in, and encourage proficiency and expression in the art of quilting through stimulation of thought, exchange of ideas, mutual assistance and educational opportunities. Nationally known guest speakers and workshops are provided most months as well as in-house educational programs and we do not meet in July or August. We meet once a month in the evening at Kennedy Catholic School, located at 54 Route 138, Somers, NY. Our Guild members come from all walks of life and backgrounds. The common thread that draws us together is our love of quilting in all its forms of expression, from traditional to abstract. We welcome all those who enjoy quilting, fabric arts and the craft of sewing to join us, take part in our Guild activities, and keep our community of quilters vibrant and creative. We welcome new members to join us at any time with the promise of friendship and sharing for which quilters are known.
