✨Peer Connections, an inclusive program where children and young adults of all abilities can build friendships, develop life skills, and have fun together in a welcoming environment🫶🏻

✨This session features:
💪🏻Fitness
🧑🏻‍🍳Cooking
🎨 Art

-All ages welcome
-Inclusive for participants with and without disabilities
-4:1 participant-to-staff ratio
-Parents and ComHab workers are welcome to stay.
-If a participant is not toilet trained, a 1:1 support person should be provided by the family.

✨Last Wednesday was a busy day filled with joy for Team Trev. With the school year coming to a close, we decided to present our final inaugural Team Trev Foundation Inclusion Award of 2026 to Peer Connections volunteer Bryce Penzo at a very special event: The Rock For Trev Rock Garden Community Project created by Ava, Emily, and Gabby. Both hold a very special place in our hearts, as these amazing former 8th grade students worked in the Peer Connections Program at SMS, a group that brought Trevor so much joy🐞🦋 🧡

✨Congratulations to Bryce: our community is a better place with students like you, who rise to the challenge, promote kindness naturally, and provide respect and dignity to the most vulnerable population of children in our district. People of all ages could learn a lot from this stand out incoming high schooler…Be like Bryce🐘❤️

✨Also a huge congratulations to Ava, Emily, and Gabby! We are SO proud of you, from the start to finish of this beautiful project and tribute to Trevor. We cannot wait to continue with you on this journey and see the end result🎨🪨🙌🏻

✨Last night, the Team Trev Foundation had the honor of attending the Somers Lacrosse Face Off Club Dinner. It was a beautiful evening to celebrate the athletes, the coaches, and the families that have worked so hard and created so many memories together. This community will always hold a special place in our hearts. In our season of giving back, we presented two TTF Leadership Awards to one Varsity and one JV player, chosen by their coaches🐘🥍

✨Coming full circle from this time last year, we were able to reflect and share some of our thoughts with the group, in a time we continue to need it the most here in Somers. Rally for one another. Earn it. Continue to show up every single day. Do the right thing, without the expectation of reward or anything in return. Simply put, be a good person. Never underestimate the power of a community 💪🏻

✨Congratulations to Bret Kennedy and Troy Klein, our recipients of the inaugural round of the Team Trev Foundation Leadership Awards 2026. Hearing the genuine, personal thoughts that your coaches and teammates said about you both makes us so proud that you were awarded and representing what we stand for🫶🏻

✨Tonight, the Team Trev Foundation had the privilege of honoring one Somers Senior Athlete with the inaugural Team Trev Foundation Inclusion Award. This honoree does not only excel on the field, but has the heart, the grit, and the character that makes him an incredible human being. The extra effort to lift up those around him, and to recognize when that extra love and attention is needed the most, in the most natural and genuine of ways, is what makes inclusion so beautiful🫶🏻

✨As we reflect on the past year, we knew that as an organization, we wanted to give back and show our appreciation and gratitude in the most meaningful of ways to honor Trevor. Today at Somers Slam, we honored four boys from the youth lacrosse teams, nominated by their coaches, with the INAUGURAL TEAM TREV FOUNDATION LEADERSHIP AWARD OF 2026🐘❤️🙏🏻

✨Congratulations to Cooper, Tyler, Mitchell, and Logan: The four of you exemplify the qualities of heart, grit, and character that personified Trevor. Keep showing up: we are so proud of you🫶🏻

✨”365 Days”: Over the past year, we’ve learned so much about life, ourselves, others, the community as a whole, and the heart of our mission. We strive to make meaningful decisions to celebrate the amazing boy we’ve had the privilege of knowing. In order to honor Trevor’s legacy to the fullest, live like Trevor🫶🏻

✨Laugh from the moment you wake up, until the moment your head hits the pillow at night. Invest your time and energy wisely, to those who support you at your highest and lowest. Everyone is going through something, somewhere, at some point. You never know who you will reach when they need it the most. Do things that bring you joy, that leave you fulfilled. Dance, sing, laugh even more…our favorite prankster who was unknowingly funny and brought smiles to all of our faces as he greeted us in the school hallways, out in the community, and at games. Empathetic beyond his years, Trevor truly loved and cared for you with his whole soul. He had his own struggles, but his heart, his grit, his character would always outshine the challenges. He worked harder than anyone, resilient to the core 🙌🏻

✨As we reach this milestone, we ask that you continue celebrating our guy, on days 366, 730, 999, 52536 and beyond. Wear your favorite Team Trev gear all day, everyday. Share your favorite Trevor memories with each other, it’s hard to pick just one. And most of all, take a breath for yourself, to simply cherish the moment. 365 days is just a number, an important one, but Trevor’s legacy will continue to shine brightly with the love from our beautiful TT community🙏🏻
