To mark their 40th anniversary, The LEGO Foundation has launched a new global research Fellowship โ awarding up to 10 early- and mid-career researchers USD 300,000 over three years to study how children thrive. The program focuses on three urgent areas shaping children's lives today: children in crisis and conflict settings, neurodivergent children and inclusion, and children's learning and development in an AI-enabled world.

We're excited to launch the LEGO Foundation Fellowship โ a new global research programme marking our 40th anniversary.
Up to 10 early- and mid-career researchers will receive USD 300,000 over the next three years to pursue ambitious, rigorous, and practically relevant research on how children thrive.
The Fellowship, developed in partnership with , focuses on three urgent areas shaping children's lives today:
Children in crisis and conflict settings
Neurodivergent children and inclusion
Childrenโs learning and development in an AI-enabled world.
We welcome researchers across disciplines and geographies โ from education and psychology to data science, neuroscience, and humanitarian studies.
Applications open 1 June and close 31 July 2026. The fellowship period runs from 2027 to 2029.
