On Friday we had the pleasure of working with a 72 year old gentleman who had been merely getting by with "just enough." While he had a minimalist mentality, sleeping on an air mattress and eati dinner on a salvaged gaming chair at his age was starting to take a toll.

We wanted to honor his preferences of keeping things simple and functional - which is essential to making a space feel like a home. Every client we meet has a different dream for their home and every space we curate reflects just that. A home that is built for the individual. A home that is a celebration of how far they have come.

🍷In this workshop you will master food styling tricks to make beautiful boards whether you are frequently hosting or want to impress at the potluck.
You will learn how to pair meats, cheeses, fruits, and spreads like a pro and leave with your own delicious creation ready to eat.

Landing in a home in any capacity is a massive accomplishment.

While most of the clients we serve are renters, on Thursday we were astonished to meet a mom and her 5 children who recently purchased a home after a year of housing instability. They previously bounced from hotel rooms to the sofas of friends who were willing to let the spend a few nights at their home. Mom was determined to find the stability her family once had and set forward with her faith to make it happen.

From an empty apartment to an inviting home. 🧡

Before we arrived, this senior citizen was sleeping on an air mattress with a slow leak. Thanks to our amazing volunteers and generous donors, she now has a beautiful space to rest, grow, and dream!

Families come in all shapes and sizes - and sometimes they are furry with four legs. 🐾

What matters most to our clients is what matters most to us. We are always happy to celebrate the things that bring them joy and feature them in the home. For this individual, her dogs have been her solace through an extremely difficult season of life. We were excited to give them a little bit of Humble love too. 🐶🧡

Meet the Advisory Board!

One of our newsest additions to the board was first introduced through a designers, who absolutely raved about her job and the impact it was having on Cleveland families. The more Anna learned, the more she realized how life-changing this process truly can be.

Anna has jumped on board as a volunteer on many decos and she reports that each time she is moved to tears. "There’s nothing like seeing a child recieve their first bed or watching a mom feel seen, cared for, and loved after going through a hard season," she said.

She loves that Humble is truly a win-win-win. Families receive safe, beautiful, thoughtfully designed homes that help restore dignity and hope. Donors see their items get a second life in the hands of people who genuinely need and appreciate them. And companies have the opportunity to support a nonprofit that is creating real, lasting impact in the community.

Being a new mom is challening enough. Being a new mom, in an empty home, while navigating a new life away from an unhealthy relationship? That is hard.

So many of our clients are working extremely hard to make a better life and they still find themselves barely getting by. Many of them report feeling like they have "just enough to survive", but continue to strive to create a better future for their children. We hope that with a little help from their community, this family can go from feeling like they are surviving to feeling like they are thriving.

This is just the start of a whole new chapter for this beautiful family. 💕
