At Solon Community Living, we work to make sure all voices are heard. Which means regular meetings of our providers, residents and family to make sure that as many people as we can have a say in what happens around here. Obviously, not everybody gets everything that they want, but we work to make sure that every voice is heard and considered. When we post pictures from our activities, groups coming in and the like, know that the voices that put that together largely weren't just our staff, but rather our community.

Days like these remind us what community is truly about; sunshine, memories, and great people to spend it with! We spent a weekend day cruising down Lake Erie on the GOODTIME III, soaking up everything the lake had to offer, and if that was any indication, there are many more good times ahead.

Ferris wheels, funnel cake, and a whole lot of laughter; our trip to the Cuyahoga County Fair had it all. Seeing everyone light up for the little things (and not so little rides) made this trip worthwhile. Some days call for routine, work, and stress; but to have a day filled with seeing animals from llamas to roosters, riding the rides, and soaking up the last bits of summer together, that's a day worth celebrating.

A warm welcome to Sundus! Since joining us in April, she has worked so well with our residents, families, and other staff and is now moving into the community! Sundus is our second Speech Language Pathology graduate student we've had here and our third Kent State student. We can't wait to see all she does in her work both at SCL and in pursuing her career.

There's nothing quite like a cookout where our families come together as one big community. The smell of the grill, kids running around, and laughter echoing from every corner of the clubhouse, it was a beautiful reminder of what happens when we come together and share more than just a meal. From new friendships formed to old ones strengthened, these are the moments that remind us how special our community truly is. Grateful for good food, warm company, and an afternoon full of connection. Here's to many more gatherings like this one! 🍔☀️🎉
