Tsalteshi Trails Nordic ski, snowshoe, mountain bike and running trails for the Central Kenai Peninsula, Alaska

We have over 25 kilometers of trails groomed in the winter for cross-country skiing. In the summer, the trails are open for running, hiking, mountain biking,and dogs.

Thanks to all our cyclocross racers, volunteers and spectators for coming out today! It's possibly the hardest 30ish minutes of riding of the season, but definitely the most memorable!
If it makes anyone feel any better, Jeff spent about 5 hours setting up the course for a 30-minute race. We might be bad at math at Tsalteshi, but riders plus a break in the rain = an awesome day in our book!

All residents of the K-Beach Road community (outside the city limits of Kenai and Soldotna) are invited to a community meeting to weigh in on funding under the state of Alaska Community Assistance Program. CAP funding is divided between qualified nonprofits (including Tsalteshi) located in the K-Beach area, based in part on community feedback.

Join us at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 6, at the Kenai Peninsula Food Bank, 33955 Community College Drive off K-Beach Road, to have a say in how funding is divided. It's a quick meeting but has a big impact in the K-Beach area. Join us!

Trick-or-treat stations needed! Tsalteshi's Spooktacular is 1-3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 25, at the Skyview trailhead. Businesses, organizations, families or groups of any kind are needed to sponsor trick-or-treat stations on the trails. Bring treats and a game for the kids to play. We'll provide a table and transportation to your spot. Decorate your station however you like — advertising signage is welcome! Contact Alicia for more information at [email protected]

Today is the high school cross-country Regions meet at Tsalteshi, at the Skyview trailhead. First race is at 10 a.m., last starts at 1:45 p.m. Come out and cheer the kids on, but please stay off the marked course!

Bike sweeps needed!
Tsalteshi is hosting the Regions meet for high school cross-country running on Saturday, and they need bikers to sweep after the races. Races start at 10 a.m. and finish around 2 p.m. Please contact Coach Kristin Davis at [email protected] if you can help!

Warning! Aggressive moose in the Wolf/Bear area:
Hikers report coming across a young moose with an injured back left leg Sunday afternoon. The moose charged and ended up being sprayed with bear spray twice before it backed off enough that the hikers could get away. The incident has been reported to Fish and Game. Please be careful in that area and keep dogs under control. Let us know if anyone else has a run-in.
