➡️ Turn onto Liberty Lane (between Twin Cities Veterinary Clinic and Short Stop Gas Station).
➡️ Take the 2nd driveway on the left toward the large warehouses.
➡️ We’re straight ahead, and you’ll see KPAL signs to guide you the rest of the way!

Whether you’re looking to adopt, thinking about fostering, or just want to get your puppy fix, we’d love to see you!

-Applicants (who have successfully completed the adoption screening process/review in its entirety) may be able to take home a puppy from the event. You can start this process NOW at www.kpalrescue.org!
-Unapproved applicants can submit their Adoption Application afterwards for dogs/puppies they are interested in and begin the adoption process after meeting them!

🐾 Miss Puppy Update! 💜
After spending five years living outside in Kokhanok, Puppy came to KPAL with an injury. Now Puppy is loosening up and letting her personality shine! Her sweet, affectionate side is coming out more each day, and she’s starting to snuggle and share lots of love. 🥰
Her wound is healing well, and she’s recovering quickly. She’s potty-trained and has gotten along with every dog and person she’s met! Weighs around 65 pounds.
We love watching this sweet girl grow more comfortable and show us who she is. 💕

FOSTER NEEDED

Meet Moose, who was formerly Gunther from the FRIENDS Litter, a Heeler mix. Due to no fault of his own, he needs an immediate foster. 💜

Moose just turned 2 years old and is a very happy and fun puppy with a lot of energy. He does great with other dogs and loves to play but sometimes he might tire them out and needs to learn some limits. He loves all people and older children, but is a little too much energy for the owner’s young toddler. Moose is potty-trained, already up-to-date on vaccinations, neutered, and microchipped. He is an absolute love bug who will snuggle with you on the couch, sleep on your bed or go into his large kennel if you need to leave the house. He would be a wonderful addition to the right family. 🐾

FOSTER:
Foster homes love and care for the pets in rescue until adoption. WE CAN DO FOSTER-TO-ADOPT FOR THE PERFECT FIT! Commitment times vary. While in foster, we provide supplies (kennel, leash, collar, etc.), food, and vet care. Our fosters supply the love until they are adopted. Our Foster Application can be found on https://kpalrescue.org/foster-volunteer/. We can’t bring in dogs without a foster home, so this dog won’t be listed on our “available pets” to foster. How is this happy-go-lucky boy still waiting for his forever family?! 🥹
Bunya is the kind of puppy who fits right in wherever life takes him! He’s potty-trained, kennel-trained, and friendly with absolutely everyone he meets! 💜 Dogs? Loves them! Cats? Loves them, too! Honestly, Bunya has yet to meet a creature he doesn’t like! He has even met chickens! 🐾
This sweet boy is incredibly adaptable and makes an excellent copilot for all your adventures! Whether it’s exploring the great outdoors, playing in the yard, or just tagging along for the ride, Bunya is happy to be part of the fun.
But don’t let his adventurous side fool you! Bunya also knows how to slow things down and appreciates a little downtime, cozy cuddles, and quality time with his favorite people.
Easygoing, loving, social, and ready for anything — Bunya is the total package!
All this wonderful boy is missing is a family to call his own.

The Nuts Litters were born around May 26th. DNA for them shows that they are ~1/5 Pitbull, ~1/5 Karelian Bear Dog, and the remaining ~3/5 is made up of many other breeds. True Heinz 57 mixes! 🧬

Books, puppy snuggles, and a little fall fun! 🍂📚🐾 Stop by Inkwell's Bookshop in Soldotna this Saturday, October 17, to browse the shelves, discover your next great read, and meet two adoptable KPAL cuties! Hazelnut will be there from 12–2 PM, and Almond from 3–5 PM. 💜 They’re two of the six remaining Nuts Litter puppies still waiting for forever homes. Come show this local bookstore some love—you might leave with a new book and fall in love with your next best friend! 🧡

October 14 is National Pet Obesity Awareness Day! It’s a reminder that measured meals, mindful treats, and daily play can help our pets maintain a healthy weight. 💜

Check out our tips below, and ask your veterinarian what a healthy weight looks like for your pet. Show them love with an extra walk, a favorite game, or some quality cuddle time! 🐶

Calling all Poodle People out there!!!! 🐩 Due to no fault of her own, this lovely lady named Lani is in need of a new forever friend. How lucky for you!!! Lani is 2 years old and weighs about 40 pounds. She has the cutest fluffball on her head & tail. She is described as playful, loving, and a good listener (should you want to share any troubles you have with her)! 💜 She is potty-trained and knows her Good Girl skills. She is reported to not be destructive and can be trusted out and about in the home. Lani is good with people, kids, and other dogs. 🐾 She has not met kitties. Don't miss out on adding this sweet girl to your home!

Due to no fault of her own, Chrissy from the Three's Company Litter (AKA Missy) finds herself back in rescue and in need of a forever family. She is now 3 years old (born June 17, 2023) and is a Karelian Bear Dog mix. Chrissy is a petite 45 pounds. She is a finicky eater and enjoys the finer cuisine, such as canned salmon & moose! As you can see, she has mastered the couch (and the bed, too)! 💜 Now, Chrissy, that one pose is not very ladylike but you do look quite comfy!!!

Chrissy is a very well-behaved girl. Potty-trained and knows how to use a doggie door. She is not destructive and has been trusted to free roam the house. She's sweet, playful, and loves to cuddle. She loves playing with other dogs and is good with people & kids. She can be a bit shy at first but warms up quickly. She has not met any feline friends. You can't tell from her pictures but she has the cutest curly tail and she can grin like a big ole Cheshire cat!!!! Such a good girl you are, Chrissy!!! 🐾

Acorn is one awesome pup! 💜 She loves all people and dogs alike. She does good going into her crate with a treat. She loves to be involved in every task, big or small. She knows “sit” and “no”, and is learning “down”. Acorn loves to play outside and is very curious about everything, but is also a great listener and comes when she’s called. She’s mastering potty-training and is just an all around happy pup! 🐾

“My name is ACORN and I’m a NUT! I’m a happy-go-lucky girl, not afraid of anything, and my tail is always wagging. I love to sleep near or on my foster’s bed as I love being around my people.”
