On September 7 & 8, 1968, over two hundred theatre artists met in Crossville, Tennessee for the first Tennessee Theatre Association conference. With a grant from the Tennessee Arts Commission, those first members founded TTA, elected the late Paul Crabtree as their first president, and began a legacy of promoting theatre at the highest standards across the state. Today, TTA strives to live up to t
he hopes and dreams of those founding members. Through workshops, festivals, networking opportunities, and professional screening auditions, the annual TTA conference continues to bring theatre practitioners from across the state together. TTA Conference 2021
