Blue Belt the Blue

I was honored to be invited to the belt program at FightZone Checkmat today. In a very short time Professor Gabriel has rebuilt an amazing BJJ community and today was awarded a 3rd stripe on his Black Belt. Professor Gabriel has been an amazing partner of the Blue Belt program since day one. We couldn’t be happier for his additional stripe and for our continued association with such a great BJJ family.

Huge congratulations to all the FightZone family that earned their new belts today. Especially Kyle Frazier with his new Black Belt. Since the inception of the Blue Belt program Kyle has been the most vocal supporter of 1st responders training BJJ. Great civil servant, great teacher, great friend and great family man. Well deserved belt and we are grateful for everything Kyle has done and continues to do for our program and for the people of Rutherford County. Congratulations brother!

Alison and I are always humbled to see the dedication of the first responders in the Blue Belt the Blue program. With all the demands of life and their jobs, officers Sam Lopez and Fernando Ortiz put in the time to get their Blue Belts. 53 years young!

Congratulations to everyone’s favorite, David Victor, on his promotion to blue belt. David has been training with Legion Jiu Jitsu for two years and earned his well deserved promotion last night.

David is a School Resource Officer in Rutherford County Schools and we could not be more proud of him and his dedication to keeping our kids and faculty members safe.

Jiu Jitsu is for EVERYONE. If you’re a law enforcement officer you need to be training!!!

Congratulations to Austin Watson on his well deserved promotion to Blue Belt.

Austin is one of the original BBTB sponsored officers and has been training for 18 months. Since he’s been training he’s used skills learned at Jiu Jitsu on the street several times. He’s a great friend, role model and amazing law enforcement officer. He’s shown that Jiu Jitsu works and is a needed tool for law enforcement.

We’re proud of you buddy. Hope you got some ice bags for those wrists. ⚫️⚔️🔵

Amazing seminar yesterday at Legion Jiu Jitsu / Checkmat Murfreesboro with BJJ COPS founder and head instructor Brenin DeOliviera. We had several of our Blue Belt the Blue athletes and cops from all over the country in attendance.

Jiu Jitsu saves lives. There is no doubt about it. If you’re a cop, please find a gym and train. If you need help getting started please reach out to us. ⚔️👊🏼
