From Rina, our chapter’s chair for submitting collegiate Potential New Member Information Forms to Headquarters for distribution to collegiate chapters:
It’s almost time for RECRUITMENT! But I’m an alumna; what does this mean to me?
As you are attending graduations, parties, or talking to high school graduates heading off to college in the fall, you should keep in mind that you are still vested in the future members of AOΠ. Many times, young women are interested in knowing more about sororities but are reluctant to ask questions. When you have the occasion to converse with college-bound women, let them know that you are Greek. Be sure to share your positive experiences within AOΠ and the value you received plus leadership opportunities available while being Greek. Remind her to keep an open mind while going through RECRUITMENT as these young women will become her closest friends in college and often the friendship will remain close throughout her entire life.
Additionally, look at all the connections within the Nashville Area Alumnae Chapter that you have made. I personally have found many job opportunities, adult friendships, plus connections for doctors, home repairs, even travel opportunities, all from AOΠ locally here in middle Tennessee and from across North America. AOΠ is for a lifetime, not just your collegiate years.
While membership selection is primarily conducted in our collegiate chapters, we alumnae have the opportunity and responsibility to provide collegiate chapters with an introduction on women whom we think possess the essential qualities to carry on our sisterhood. And remember, just because she is a legacy does not mean an automatic bid. She still will benefit from having a Potential New Member Information Form (PNMIF).
It’s okay if you don’t personally know them. The best way we can help anyone going through Recruitment is by completing a PNMIF. If you need to submit or want more information on PNMIF forms and guidelines, please click the links below.

Most schools need the PNMIFs by the end of July or before formal recruitment starts. So, don’t miss out on the opportunity to submit any for the women you know. If you have further questions, please feel free to reach out to Rina Galehouse, our PNMIF Chair at [email protected].
Alpha Omicron Pi alumnae and collegians are invited to recommend a potential new member or introduce a legacy through our Membership Information Form.
