We’re live! Pastor Jordan Boyce is continuing Acts of the Apostles with a message on Discerning Direction.

Notes: How do I walk with God? How do I hear His voice? How do I allow Him to lead me? In Acts 16, Paul was pursuing something good, but God kept closing doors and redirecting his path. Walking with God means learning to discern His direction, not simply following our desires. Sometimes God says no. Sometimes He takes us the long way around. And sometimes He makes the direction unmistakably clear: Go. Through every season, we are called to stay close enough to hear His voice, trust His timing, obey His instructions, and follow His lead.

️ Key Highlights:
• Walking with the Lord is the centerpiece of Christianity. His sheep know His voice and follow Him.
• God’s redirection can feel disorienting, but a closed door does not mean He has stopped leading you.
• Sometimes God’s way includes waiting, humility, difficulty, or taking the longer route.
• God builds our faith in stages, preparing us for what we will need to carry in the next season.
• Great difficulty requires great maturity. God strengthens our faith before greater opposition.
• Delay is not denial: the right thing, at the right time, with the right strength.
• When God says go, His direction will often lead us toward the needs of others. Ask: Where can I help? Who can I help? How can I help?
• Opportunity often presents itself as responsibility. When God gives direction, get going.
• In order to walk with God, we must discern His direction, not just our desire: hear His voice, obey His instructions, and follow His lead.

Looking Intently: Living By Discernment Pastor Jordan Boyce Awakening Church
We’re live! Pastor Jordan Boyce is preaching on Looking Intently: Living By Discernment.
Notes: The Christ-follower must live a life of “looking intently” at all things: self, Savior, and the spiritual in every situation. In Acts 13 and 14, Paul looked intently and discerned two very different spirits: the spirit behind Bar-Jesus that sought to turn someone away from faith, and the faith within a crippled man who was ready to be made well. Biblical discernment is more than intuition, critical thinking, or a feeling. It is given by the Holy Spirit and trained through constant practice. When we discern what is happening beneath the surface, we must be willing to change what is in us, challenge what leads people away from Jesus, and confirm the faith we see in others.
️ Key Highlights:
• “Looked intently” comes from the Greek atenizō, meaning to fix one’s eyes upon, look steadily, or gaze intently.
• Everyone carries something in their spirit, and what is in us eventually impacts the people around us.
• A Spirit-filled believer should carry love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, and the fruit of the Spirit.
• Discernment asks a better question than “Is it wrong?” It asks, “Is it right for me?”
• When you discern something, there are three responses: change, challenge, or confirm.
• Discernment begins with self. Before looking for what needs to change in others, ask, “What in me needs to change?”
• Wherever something is leading people away from Jesus, it must be challenged.
• We are called to be wise as serpents and innocent as doves, discerning what we allow to speak into our lives, homes, and children.
• Paul looked intently at the crippled man and saw faith. Sometimes all someone needs is for another person to see their faith and encourage it.
• The Lord is looking intently at you today. He sees what you have been through, what you are carrying, and what feels crippled. He discerns the heart.
• Wherever there is faith, there is a future.
• The goal of discernment is to live a life of wisdom that produces good fruit and brings glory to God.

We’re live! Pastor Chad Veach from Zoe Church in Los Angeles is bringing a timely message to Awakening Church, The Time Is Here.

📝 Notes: God is the author of time. While we cannot know the chronos—the clock time—of Christ’s return, we are called to recognize the kairos moments, the appointed opportunities when God is moving. Jesus entered Jerusalem not simply on a timeline, but at the perfect appointed time. Throughout Scripture, God accomplishes extraordinary purposes through ordinary people and ordinary things. He relentlessly pursues humanity, continually sending messengers and ultimately His own Son. As we await Christ’s return, our calling is not fear, but faithful readiness—living spiritually awake, prayerful, and prepared.

🕊️ Key Highlights:

Chronos is clock time—minutes, days, months, and years. God is sovereign over time, but no one knows the chronos of Christ’s return.
Kairos is God’s appointed opportunity. Luke 19:44 reminds us not to miss “the time of God’s coming.”
Jesus’ triumphal entry fulfilled God’s perfect timing as the King arrived exactly when the Father intended.
God often works through borrowed and ordinary things: a borrowed c**t, borrowed bread, a borrowed upper room, and even a borrowed tomb.
God delights in doing extraordinary things through ordinary people who simply say yes.
Throughout Israel’s history, God repeatedly sent prophets—including Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, Amos, and Zechariah—to call His people back to Him.
God’s persistence reveals His relentless love. Even after generations of rejection, He sent His beloved Son.
Jesus is the rejected stone who became the Cornerstone—the foundation of our faith and salvation.
The signs Jesus described point toward the nearness of God’s kingdom, but His message is not panic—it is preparation.
The greatest preparation for Christ’s return is cultivating a life that stays spiritually awake, prayerful, undistracted, and ready to stand before the Son of Man.
Don’t simply count time—recognize God’s appointed moments and respond when He is moving.
