Rock-N-Jock Charities as of today have two open foursomes that we would like to fill for our golf tournament, Monday August 10th at Potowomut Golf Club. Our foursomes are $1000 which includes 8 tickets to our concert on Sunday, August 9th. Our headliners are Billy Gilman, Steve Smith and the Nakeds, and Tony Orlando. Golf registration includes a full day of 18 holes, tons of cocktails and food on the course and a full dinner after golf. Our event raises funds for A Wish Come True and FARA. Hello to all our returning golfers! We cannot wait to see you in a few weeks. RNJ is excited to be heading into our 26th year fundraising. We have one open foursome available that we would love to fill to round out our golf course. A foursome ($1000) includes a T-sign on the golf course and 8 tickets to our concert the evening beforehand. Tony Orlando is in our lineup. Every year, at the end of the school year, I visit the Woonsocket Middle School to make a check presentation from Rock N Jock Charities and Tune & Tune Up. The gift is given to their music department to honor our fallen brother Thomas "TJ" Schwartz. It is donated in the name of the 8th grade student that excels in Music and Math. The donation helps to buy musical equipment and helps when instruments need to repaired. The money was raised at our Rock N Jock Charity event. This year's gift of Seven Hundred and Fifty dollars was donated in the name of Mianee Pichardo our 2025 award winner. She was honored at last years Night Of Entertainment. She received an award that evening and her picture was placed on the plague in the middle school band room. Part of donation to Rock N Jock Charities every year also goes to help keep the music alive in our youth. This year's recipient will be honored at this year's Night of Entertainment Sunday, August 9, 2026. Because Woonsocket is so big they actually have two middle schools. Unfortunately for me the eighth graders graduated the day I visited the school. So I only got to hear half of the seventh grade portion of the band. I totally cherish going to the school every year to hear the band and hang with the kids that benefit from your donations. I would like to thank everyone who donates to Rock N Jock Charities which helps us keep the music alive at the Woonsocket Middle School and also helps us keeps the memory of our baritone sax player for 36 years Thomas "TJ" Schwartz in our hearts and mins.
