The Sunshine Girls Program is a safe and supportive space created for girls to learn, grow, build confidence, discover their talents, and prepare for a brighter future.

At Sunshine Girls, girls are given opportunities to develop practical and life skills that can help them become confident, independent, responsible, and empowered young women.

Through the program, girls benefit from:
Life skills and practical skills training, including tailoring, cooking, soap making, handicrafts, and entrepreneurship.

Menstrual health support, including the provision of sanitary pads, helping girls manage their periods safely, confidently, and with dignity.

Health and hygiene education that helps girls understand and take care of their wellbeing.

Mentorship and guidance, giving girls a supportive environment where they can ask questions, share experiences, and make positive choices.

Talent development, helping each girl discover her abilities and understand that her dreams and potential matter.

Confidence building, encouraging girls to believe in themselves and their ability to create a better future.

Environmental education and tree planting, teaching girls responsibility and care for their communities and environment.

Entrepreneurship and self-reliance skills, preparing girls for future economic opportunities.

Friendship and peer support, creating a strong community where girls learn from, encourage, and support one another.

Sunshine Girls Program is more than a learning place. It is a safe space where girls are listened to, valued, supported, and given opportunities to become the best version of themselves.

The Bag-Making Training Class Is Ongoing!

At Living for Others Organization, we are committed to empowering girls with practical skills that can help them build confidence, become self-reliant, and create better opportunities for their future.

Our girls are continuing to learn the art of designing, sewing, and making beautiful handmade bags. Through this training, they are developing creativity, patience, teamwork, and valuable skills that can open doors to entrepreneurship and self-employment.

We believe that when we equip girls with knowledge and practical skills, we give them the tools to shape their own future and make a positive difference in their communities.

It was truly a great blessing and a special privilege to receive Christa, who visited us all the way from the USA. Christa is a dedicated supporter and key partner of LFO, consistently standing with our community by helping provide food to those in need. Every month, she faithfully supports our efforts, and we are deeply grateful for her generosity and commitment.

During her visit, we had the opportunity to take her to meet several families within the community. She witnessed firsthand the reality on the ground and saw how LFO reaches families that are often forgotten and underserved. LFO goes where many cannot go—we reach the unreached and serve those who are most vulnerable.

Christa expressed her heartfelt appreciation and said, “I thank God who is working through you, LFO. You are doing an incredible job that many have not been able to do. You truly represent God’s work in a powerful way.”

We give all the glory to God for this meaningful visit and for the impact being made in our community.

Five orphaned children in this photo live with their maternal grandmother, who has been struggling alone to care for them.

Living For Others is celebrating a life-changing milestone for these children: Chacha (15 years old , Grade 7) and Justine (11Years old , Grade 4)had been out of school for a long time due to lack of school necessities. Corence (7years ) and twins Joseph and Baraka (5years old) had never been enrolled in school because their grandmother could not afford basic school requirements.

Yesterday, their story changed.Through the support of Living for Others, all five children received the school supplies and essentials they needed. Today, after engaging with the Early Childhood and Primary Education Officer, approval was granted for all the children to be admitted and begin learning—even though the registration period had already closed.

The twins will begin pre-primary school, Corence has started Grade 1, and Chacha and Justine are now continuing their education with renewed hope. This is more than school enrollment—it is a restoration of dignity, opportunity, and a brighter future.

We extend our heartfelt appreciation to our generous sponsors and supporters whose compassion made this possible. Your commitment has opened classroom doors for these children, restored hope to a struggling family, and reminded us that collective kindness can transform lives.
