As we honor the significance of June 19, 1865, we also recognize the generations of trailblazers, leaders, mothers, fathers, and community builders whose sacrifices helped shape the opportunities we have today.

Moms on a Mission was honored to serve as a community partner for the **Inaugural NAACP Juneteenth Celebration and hosted at **Williams Memorial CME Church**.

What a beautiful day of fellowship, culture, education, and celebration as we came together to honor Juneteenth and reflect on the resilience, strength, and achievements of those who paved the way for future generations.

We extend our sincere gratitude to:

✨ The community members and families who came out to support this historic event.
✨ The local leaders, organizers, speakers, and volunteers whose dedication helped make this celebration a success.

💜🌸 **ICYMI: Bloom After the Storm – Circle of Healing** 🌸💜

What an unforgettable evening of healing, inspiration, and sisterhood at our **5th Annual Dear Momma Event**.

One of the evening’s most powerful moments came from our guest speaker, **Lucinda Thornton**, founder of **Petrina’s Purple Passion**. Lucinda shared her deeply personal journey of loss after her daughter, Petrina, passed away while waiting for a heart transplant three years ago. Rather than allowing grief to define her story, Lucinda chose to honor her daughter's legacy by continuing the work Petrina was passionate about—supporting and advocating for victims of domestic abuse.

Through her message, **“Blossoms After the Storm,”** she reminded every woman in the room that even in our darkest seasons, beauty can still emerge. She spoke of resilience, purpose, faith, and the courage it takes to keep moving forward when life changes forever. Her words touched hearts, inspired healing, and served as a reminder that our storms do not have the final say.

A special thank you to **Attorney Britney Green** for her heartfelt introduction of Lucinda and for helping set the tone for such a meaningful presentation.

We are also incredibly grateful to Lucinda for the beautiful and thoughtful gift she shared with each mother in attendance—a **purple rose pin**, symbolizing strength, remembrance, love, and hope. It was a touching gesture that perfectly reflected the spirit of the evening and will serve as a lasting reminder that healing is possible and that every storm can produce a beautiful bloom.

Yesterday, Moms on a Mission proudly hosted our **5th Annual Dear Momma Event, "Bloom After the Storm: Circle of Healing,"** and our hearts are overflowing with gratitude.

To every mother who attended, thank you for showing up, sharing your stories, opening your hearts, and allowing yourselves to be poured into. Your strength, resilience, and willingness to heal inspire us more than words can express.

To our incredible speakers, thank you for your transparency, wisdom, and powerful messages. Your words created a safe space for reflection, growth, and restoration. Each testimony and encouraging word reminded us that healing is possible and that no one has to walk through life's storms alone.

To our Moms on a Mission team, thank you for your hard work, dedication, and servant hearts. Events like these do not happen without countless hours of planning, preparation, and love. Your commitment to uplifting women and strengthening our community continues to make a lasting impact.
