Hello Everyone,

Looking forward to seeing you all at our August meeting this Thursday, August 20th. Of course at our usual time, 10:00am at Sylvan Hills UMC on 107.
Kathy will present our program & Mitzi & Kathy will provide snacks. 🥰
Our theme this month is HAPPY BIRTHDAY IN PINK! 🩷

REMINDERS:
We are still collecting food items for the food pantry give away at 1st Christian Church. We also contribute to the backpack ministry at Cato Elementary School with our donations.

We collect card fronts for a wonderful church group that makes them into NEW cards & sells them for their church outreach. (No writing on the backs, please). It’s such a good feeling to repurpose things like this. ♥️

We are excited to host the Fall Council meeting on Monday, September 28th at 10:00am. Please make plans to attend if you can. It’s a great way to meet the members of the other clubs. We may be small in numbers but everyone has special gifts & talents in their clubs. COME & SEE! 😁

Hello Ladies,

We had 14 members for our July 16th meeting.
Our theme was: Independence Day! 🇺🇸♥️
Thank you Kathy & Steve for providing our snacks & drinks.
Esther began her role as our new president. Thank you Esther! Nancy presented our program. Thank you so much. We enjoyed hearing about one of our first female leaders of the state. (Can you share her name, I forgot to write it down? Oops!)

Exciting news going forward: We will be the hosts for the Fall Council meeting. This is attended by us & all of the other Pulaski County club members and also our county leaders. This will be held on Monday, September 28th at 10:00am. Hope that you all will be able to attend. There is a silent auction held of baked goods and crafts. Always a fun time! 😁 We will bring finger foods/appetizers & you can donate items for the auction if you’d like.

Other news: we will be adding some more simple crafting to each meeting. Upcoming:
T shirt bags
Small crafted paper baskets for the Fall Council meeting
What are YOUR suggestions?
It’s such a great time to get to know our club members better!

We will need to reschedule our Ronald McDonald House tour to a later date. it just did not work out for this week.

Our eye openers: Mitzi shared the bracelet she made last month (in Debora’s class) to be donated to the bingo prizes for the Sherwood Nursing & Rehab Center in December. Coleen shared some beautiful cards that she has made. She is so creative! She also very generously had us each take one home with us. ♥️

UPCOMING CLUB EVENT:

Our club ladies will tour the Ronald McDonald House in Little Rock this Friday, July 24th at 1:00pm. Please meet to carpool at the Sylvan Hills Methodist Church on Highway 107 at 12:30 or meet the ladies there.
Bailey Faulkner from the house will be there to lead the tour. She gave a very informative talk at our club meeting in May.
