Our EHC meeting was held on October 15th this month.
We decided to dress up & have a Halloween Party. It was a FUN time! 🎃 Kay brought a special visitor, Darlene. She is a camping buddy of Kay & Barbara. She really added to the occasion! 🤣
We had a brunch provided by Nancy & Kay. Thanks ladies! Delicious! We appreciate all our snacks from you ALL. Each month the refreshments are provided by the ladies that were born that month. That seems to be working out well so far. 🥳

Debora presented a devotion on "Balance". Thank you!

Kay's program was very interesting & something easy to do: basically: GO OUTSIDE! 🌲Look at nature...walk in the grass...go look at water...look up at the sky...there are all kinds of easy & simple things to do! So helpful to our spirits, minds & bodies.

Our new projects for Christmas this year will be donating items for Jericho Way, an outreach for homeless ppl. They do great work and we wanted to help them this year.
We also would like to help our dear Veteran's who are always in need.

Suggestions to donate:

Personal care items (deodorant, body wash, etc)
Puzzle books
Cups/mugs
Hard candy
Long underwear
Notepads & pens
Chap stick

(Note: We can recycle good condition tote bags that they can use for their things, too
We may have some t shirt back packs donated, also. Our dear Kathy knows how to make them. We have so many talented ladies in our club!

We will be donating 1/2 of the socks we collected for our "Sock Hop" admission in June. The other half will be for our Christmas Bingo at Sherwood Nursing & Rehab. (Date to be announced soon). 🎄The socks are in addition to the bracelets we have been making for them & other jewelry donated by Debora. That will be a fun time! ♥️🤶🏽♥️🤶🏽♥️🤶🏽♥️

Our next meeting will be on November 19th. This is always a great time to GATHER for our Thanksgiving potluck. 🦃
We will all bring a dish to share. So far I know we have a TURKEY & some DRESSING on the menu! Yum! Sounds like something you ladies do not want to miss! 👏👏

Our program then will be a discussion & sharing of the new recipes received from EHC. Esther will be sharing that with us.
We were so thankful to have her be able to join us this month. She lost her husband recently & was still able to be with us. You are loved, Esther. ♥️

We will also take up a LOVE OFFERING in Nov & Dec for the very kind Sylvan Hills First United Methodist Church! They have allowed us to meet there for YEARS at no cost! They are always so accommodating to us...we'd like to show some LOVE BACK to THEM! ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️

Hello Ladies,

We sure had a great time at our October meeting! 🎃Report & photos later.

Just wanted to REMIND you all of two great classes at the Sherwood Senior Citizen Center tomorrow.
1:00pm Line Dancing led by our very own Donna.
Then at 2:00pm a NEW craft class taught by Coleen. No supplies needed...she will furnish all items. Photos of a sample of the wonderful books she has made attached.
Hope you ladies can give both classes a try!

Dear Ladies,

I am very sorry to share the sad news that our dear club member, Carol Carlan, has passed away. Her visitation will be on Monday, October 12th at 11:30am with the service to follow at 12:30pm. This will be held at Impact Church in NLR. She was last able to attend our club in February of this year. She will be missed.
