Hello Shell K**b Community,
We’re putting the final touches on the museum as we recreate the atmosphere of the era surrounding the Fields–Plummer Cabin. As we near completion, we’re looking for items that help tell the story of Shell K**b—pieces that spark memories, conversation, and a sense of nostalgia.
From the early days (pre-bridge) to more recent history, we would love to include anything that represents what Shell K**b once was—and still is today.
Thanks to generous contributions, we’ve already received items such as a bottle of BJ’s BBQ sauce, the TNT blaster used in the forging of McCullough Cemetery, and the very first Rattler publication. We’re still searching for items like Rima’s Market flyers, Turkey Mountain golf course scorecards, first fireworks T-shirts, and more.
Old photographs of original resorts or businesses, vintage pamphlets, memorabilia—anything connected to Shell K**b’s past is welcome. If it was once part of Shell K**b, it has a place in telling our story.
Items can be donated or placed on loan, and displays will rotate regularly to showcase as much history as possible. Donation and loan forms are available at the bottom of this post
We’re also excited to share that we’ll be hosting monthly history talks, featuring stories told by local residents who experienced these moments firsthand.
If you have items to contribute or questions, please reach out to us at:[email protected]
Thank you for helping preserve the history of Shell K**b—we couldn’t do this without you. And stay tuned for our opening date announcement.
