Last night was our 5th Family Wednesday at Youth Night… THE DOCK PARTY! ⚓️💙
Our heart is FULL! 🥹 We had our 1st–12th graders all out there playing kickball (with a twist!), laughing, running around, and just having FUN TOGETHER!
We want to brag on some of our older kiddos for a minute. ❤️ They showed up, jumped in, played hard, and had a blast, BUT they also did something even more important. They stepped up and SERVED. They looked out for the littles, made sure they were included, helped take care of them, and made sure everybody was part of the fun.
THAT is what youth ministry is about! It’s about more than games, pizza, and Wednesday night activities. It’s about building relationships, loving people where they are, and learning to be the hands and feet of Jesus. It’s about our older kids realizing that leadership isn't about being the oldest or the loudest in the room. It's about showing up, looking out for others, and loving people well. ❤️
We are SO proud of these kids. We love watching them grow, not just in age, but in their hearts, their faith, and their willingness to serve. Seeing our older students care for our younger ones is a reminder that the things we're praying for, teaching, and pouring into them really do matter. 🙏🫶
Romans 12:10 says, "Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves."
Last night, we got to see a little glimpse of that in action. And let me tell you, there's nothing sweeter than watching our kids love on other kids! 🥹❤️
To all our Dock Party crew… THANK YOU for showing up, joining in, and making Wednesday nights something special. And to our older students who stepped up without needing to be asked every time… WE SEE YOU, WE ARE PROUD OF YOU, AND WE LOVE YOU!💕
At Lakeside Christian Church, we're not just raising up a youth group. We're raising up the next generation of servants, leaders, and Jesus-followers. And we're so thankful God lets us be a small part of it! ⚓️💙
