We had another successful breakfast on Saturday!! Thank you to all of our friends who always come to see us. We saw a lot of new faces also! Thank you to Chuck Singleton for buying the groceries. Also want to give special thanks to our Central Crossing Fire fighters who are always stepping up and helping where necessary and to Rich Gerleve for cooking the pancakes and Travis Garrett for frying 1000 pounds of bacon. We would not be able to do it with out all of your help!

The combination of gusty winds and low relative humidity values will support elevated to significant fire weather conditions Today and Thursday. Fires can spread rapidly in these conditions. Outside burning is discouraged except by experienced fire personnel.

Good afternoon,

Central Crossing Fire has been monitoring the situation regarding this winter weather system this weekend closely, and preparing and communicating with our team, along with those across the area as well.

We’ve created a concise graphic that provides an overview of this system, its expectations, and its potential impact on the district.

We expect snowfall to start late tonight and continue into Saturday, with possibly a brief pause during the day on Saturday, which could lead to some sleet in southern Missouri to occur, with snow then resuming and continuing into Sunday. This will likely make traveling very dangerous and impossible during this weekend, so please try to avoid travel.

Additional details and forecasts are available from US National Weather Service Springfield Missouri.

Central Crossing Fire will continue to monitor the situation this weekend, and publish communications on our social media channels. As always, CCFPD is ready to respond at all times, so if you have an emergency, please dial 9-1-1.

Debbie took a little field trip last week! Check it out!

We were thrilled to get a visit from Debbie with the Central Crossing Fire Protection District in Shell K**b, MO. They sold t-shirts throughout October and presented us with a check for $500!

We appreciate all of our local fire protection districts and their continued support of BCFO!
