👻🎃 Ghosts, goblins, and princesses… OH MY! 👑✨

What a fun week in our community! We kicked things off with our very own Dorman Trunk or Treat with our amazing families, then wrapped up the week passing out candy to all the adorable ghosts, goblins, and princesses at Shelby Christian Church’s Trunk or Treat and Shelby County Parks’ Trail or Treat! 🍬🧡

So many smiles, so much candy, and so many sweet memories! We love getting to be part of such a wonderful community and making these special memories together. Happy Halloween from all of us at Dorman! 🧡👻

🎃🎨 Little hands, big ideas at Dorman! 🧡

From our tiniest babies to our preschoolers, pumpkin painting looks a little different for every child! Some are exploring the feel of the paint, some are experimenting with colors, and others have a vision all their own.

What might look like simple pumpkin painting is actually so much more! Our children are making choices, expressing their creativity, building fine motor skills, and discovering what they can do.

At Dorman, we believe the magic happens when we give children the freedom to explore, follow their curiosity, and create in their own unique ways. 🌱

We don’t just see painted pumpkins—we see little minds growing, ideas coming to life, and children learning through play! 🍂🧡

🐓🐰 THE FARM ANIMALS CAME TO DORMAN! 🐐🦆

A huge THANK YOU to EverGrow Acres for bringing the farm to Dorman today! 🌾💚 Our kiddos got to enjoy hands-on experiences, meet some amazing farm animals, and learn all about how to care for them!

From chickens and ducks to goats and bunnies, we had a BLAST getting up close and personal with our new furry and feathered friends! 🐥🐇

Who knows… we might even have a few future farmers and animal caretakers in our Dorman family! 👩‍🌾👨‍🌾🐾

At Dorman, we believe some of the best learning happens through real-life experiences, exploration, and getting our hands a little dirty! 🌱 These are the moments that spark curiosity, build confidence, and create memories that last.

Thank you again, Evergrow Acres, for making today so special for our little learners! We are so grateful for opportunities like these! 💚

🌿🐛 CALLING ALL PROFESSIONAL SNACK OPENERS, BOO-BOO FIXERS & TINY-HUMAN HYPE PEOPLE! 🐛🌿

Dorman Preschool Center is looking for a Toddler Teacher to join our crew! 💛

We’re not really the “sit quietly at a table and complete your worksheet” kind of preschool.

We’re more of a…

🌳 “Let’s go outside and investigate it!”
🎨 Paint might end up on the table (and possibly us)
🐛 Stop everything because someone found a REALLY cool bug
📚 Read the same book 47 times
💃 Random dance party before lunch
🪵 Turn sticks, rocks, mud and leaves into an entire learning experience
❤️ Build relationships first, because that’s where learning begins

…kind of preschool.

At Dorman, we believe toddlers learn through PLAY. Our classrooms are hands-on, child-centered and inspired by nature, curiosity and the interests of the children. We’re looking for someone who genuinely enjoys the wonderfully messy, hilarious, exhausting and incredibly rewarding world of toddlerhood.

You don’t have to know everything on day one. We want someone who is dependable, kind, playful, willing to learn and excited to grow with us. 🌱

And we want our teachers taken care of, too!

✨ PTO
✨ Sick time
✨ Paid holidays
✨ Professional development opportunities
✨ Telehealth benefits
✨ A supportive environment where you can learn, ask questions and grow as an educator

If muddy shoes don’t scare you, you can enthusiastically celebrate someone successfully putting on their own shoe, and you understand that being handed a random rock by a toddler is basically the highest honor you can receive…

We should probably talk. 😂💚

🌼 Come grow with Dorman!

What a morning! Thank you to everyone who came out and supported our Pancake Breakfast today. We loved seeing so many familiar faces!

A huge thank you to our board members who stepped up and helped make the morning run smoothly, and to all of the amazing donors and local businesses who donated food, supplies and everything we needed to make today possible. We truly could not do it without you!

And one more BIG thank you to First Presbyterian Church, Shelbyville, KY for opening your doors to us. You all were wonderful hosts and made us feel right at home!

We are so grateful for a community that continues to show up for Dorman Center Preschool!
