💚🤎 VOLUNTEERS NEEDED AT MCMFLC! 🤎💚

Do you have a heart for serving children and making a difference in your community? We would love for YOU to join our team at the Marnel C. Moorman Family Life Center!

We are looking for caring, dependable volunteers to support our after-school enrichment program and help our scholars learn, grow, and thrive! 📚

Volunteer opportunities include:
📖 Assisting with homework and literacy activities
💚 Mentoring and encouraging our scholars
🎨 Helping with structured recreation and enrichment activities
🍽️ Assisting with meal preparation

⏰ Can you spare just ONE HOUR a week? That's all we're asking you to commit to! Even one hour of your time can make a meaningful difference in a child's life. Your presence, encouragement, and support can help our scholars build academic skills, grow in confidence, and develop positive relationships.

You can make a difference, one hour and one scholar at a time!

🍂🎃 FALL BREAK FUN AT MCMFLC! 🎃🍂

Fall break is in full swing at the Marnel C. Moorman Family Life Center, and our scholars have been having a BLAST! 🥳🧡

From exciting games of laser tag 🔫 to exploring and discovering new things at the Science Center 🔬, we have been making memories, sharing laughs, and enjoying every moment together!

Today, we visited Mulberry Orchard 🍎🚜, where our scholars got to pick their very own pumpkins! 🎃 These pumpkins will be part of our Monthly Family Engagement Activity, giving our scholars and their families an opportunity to slow down, get creative, connect, and make special memories together at home. 👩🏿‍🤝‍👩🏼

At MCMFLC, we believe learning goes beyond the classroom! Every adventure is an opportunity to explore, build relationships, discover something new, and create memories that last. 🍁✨

We are so grateful for these opportunities and the chance to watch our scholars learn, grow, and HAVE FUN! ❤️

This year, the Foundation awarded $245,000 to support organizations making a difference in our community — and MCMFLC is grateful to have received a $20,000 grant to continue our mission of serving the entire family.

💛 Give for Good Louisville 2026 has officially wrapped up.
And even though we didn’t hit our $40,000 goal, today was about far more than a number on a screen.

Today was about the people who showed up.
The ones who gave what they could.
The ones who shared our mission with their friends.
The ones who encouraged others to join in.
The ones who said, “I believe in the Family Life Center and the work happening there.”

Because of this community, we raised $20,519.00 🙌 and we are truly grateful.
Grateful for every gift, every share, every conversation, every act of support.
Grateful for a community that continues to stand with us and believe in what we’re building.
