Yesterday, we had the pleasure of participating in “.ZERO – Veneto Takes the Stage in Michigan,” a truly special celebration of Veneto's culture, creativity, and excellence.

Our sincere thanks to the Consulate of Italy in Detroit and the Living and Learning Enrichment Center for hosting such a wonderful event and bringing together so many talented artists, musicians, dancers, performers, educators, and community members.
It was an afternoon filled with culture, inspiration, and meaningful connections, showcasing the very best of Italy and the Veneto region.

One of the most celebrated masterpieces of Italian and Neapolitan theater, this legendary play by Eduardo De Filippo comes to life thanks to the dedication, talent, and countless hours of hard work put in by the entire cast, crew, and volunteers.

So much effort, passion, and commitment have gone into bringing this production to the stage, and tonight is the moment to shine.

The NOI Foundation was honored to join the celebrations for Festa della Repubblica, commemorating the birth of the Italian Republic and the democratic values that continue to unite Italians around the world.

A heartfelt thank you to the Consulate of Italy in Detroit, Consul Paolo Zanotto, and the Detroit Institute of Arts for organizing such a memorable evening in one of the most beautiful and prestigious museums in the United States.

Events like these remind us of the strength of our community and the enduring cultural ties between Italy and the United States.

Today we join Italians around the world in celebrating Festa della Repubblica, a day that marks the birth of the Italian Republic in 1946 and the beginning of a new democratic chapter in Italy’s history.

On this historic day, Italians chose a republic through a national referendum in which, for the first time, women were finally able to vote alongside men, a milestone for democracy and equality in Italy.

At the NOI Foundation, we are proud to promote and celebrate Italian language, culture, and heritage every day, keeping these traditions and values alive across generations and communities.

On May 23, 1992, the Capaci massacre shocked Italy and the world. Near the town of Capaci in Sicily, the Sicilian Mafia detonated a massive bomb under a highway, killing anti-Mafia judge Giovanni Falcone, his wife Francesca Morvillo, and three police officers escorting them.
Falcone dedicated his life to fighting organized crime and helped expose the inner workings of Cosa Nostra through historic investigations and trials.
His assassination became a turning point in Italy’s fight against the Mafia, inspiring stronger anti-Mafia laws and public resistance against organized crime.

Today, the Capaci massacre is remembered as a symbol of courage, justice, and the importance of standing up to corruption and violence.🇮🇹❤️
