As of November 2024, specific data on the number of youth or recreational centers across the United States currently being used to house migrants is not readily available. However, various facilities, including former hotels, shelters, and other structures, have been repurposed to accommodate unaccompanied migrant children and families.

For instance, in May 2024, there were discussions about converting two former casino hotels in Tunica Resorts, Mississippi, to house up to 2,000 unaccompanied migrant children. 

Additionally, organizations like Southwest Key Programs operate numerous shelters for unaccompanied migrant children across states such as Texas, Arizona, and California. As of mid-2018, Southwest Key managed 26 immigrant youth facilities housing approximately 5,100 children. 

Given the dynamic nature of immigration and shelter operations, the exact number of youth or recreational centers currently utilized for housing migrants can fluctuate based on policy changes, migration patterns, and available resources.
