What an incredible morning at the Sharon Playhouse! All six CT Region 1 Middle Schools—Sharon Center, Salisbury Central, Lee H. Kellogg, Kent Center, Cornwall Consolidated, and North Canaan—joined us for a heartwarming performance of our production of “Come From Away.” 🎭✨

A huge thank you to the school administrators, teachers, staff, volunteers, and bus drivers for making it possible to transport nearly 300 students to this uplifting musical experience. Your support brings the arts to life for local students!

Hear what our Come From Away scenic designers, and , have to say about the inspiration behind this production's stage design. 👀

“Our design for Come From Away embraces a collaged environment assembled with various elements from the community of Gander, Newfoundland and all of the locations that we travel to throughout the story. We were especially inspired by the rustic architecture of the Sharon Playhouse itself and allowing the theater to become part of the world of the play. At its heart, Come From Away is about people coming together and creating community, and we wanted the design to feel as though this story could emerge right here from this building, in this shared space, and within this community.” — Christopher & Justin Swader, Scenic Designers
