Our thoughts are with the Williams Family and the Sharon Police Department today in light of the sudden passing of Lieutenant (Ret.) Donald Williams. Lieutenant Williams was a dedicated police officer, serving the Town of Sharon for over 30 years. A veteran of the United States Army, he was involved with the American Legion, Sharon VFW, as well as a host of local community boards and organizations. Please keep his family, friends, and colleagues in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. Rest in peace, Lieutenant Williams.

May’s training is focused on auto extrication.

Group 3 members have been fortunate to have time on shift to work on cars involved in MVAs using skills including forcing doors and modified dash rolls. These skills allow crews to gain access to patients in real world scenarios to provide emergency medical care.

The Sharon Professional Firefighters proudly congratulate Firefighter/Paramedic Sean McGuire on his new opportunity with the Massachusetts Port Authority Fire Department. Sean honorably served the Town of Sharon for 13 years, demonstrating unwavering commitment and professionalism throughout his tenure. We thank him for his dedicated service and wish him the very best in all his future endeavors.

We are excited to announce the acceptance of the SAFER grant!

At last night’s Select Board meeting, the Board voted to accept the SAFER Grant Award, which will fund the hiring of eight additional firefighters for the Town of Sharon.

Thank you to the Select Board for their continued support, and to every member of the Sharon Fire Department for your hard work and dedication. This is a monumental step forward in our mission to protect and serve the community.
